Hey '[]'rance lovers.
Where have u heard of Picotto for the first time??
I feel sorry for myself I actually heard of him from the essential mix and since that moment I got really hooked up.
Damn, he is a great dj.I love him, he produces his own shit and which is really cool init =]
What's ur Picotto's tune. I can't stop listening to The Vision <=== my fav one.
Get Like this like that (on air) really cool one.
C ya.
Yeah Mauro Picotto is soooo cool !!
And his mixes too, it was very good at the Trance Energy and i listenned to the one of Rosenmontagsrave, even better !
As for Like This Like That, it rocks !!
(can't wait next time i'll see him in Germany in April for TimeWarp 12)
Some trance hustler showed me Picotto's "Nukleuz presents... Mauro Picotto - The Lizard Man" back last September. His first track on disc 1 "Save a Soul (Claxxix remix) had me hooked the first second I heard it. I've been looking for all of his new stuff since then.
Tripsy
Hey ! So cool !
It's exactly how i got to know Mauro Picotto !
Fun =)
Picotto is one of my favorite dj's/producers around. He has actually changed a lot over the past year and a half in what he spins. When I first saw him a few years ago during the einslive rave parties and during rosenmontags he was dropping harder bxr trance tracks, and a lot of that similar sounding hard trance, then this year i saw him at twilo and he went more toward tech/house/trance similar to his essential mix with more diversity and more complex sounds and mixing. He has come along way and his mixing has to. If you get a chance, i recommend seeing him as his mixing is almost flawless and his track selection and energy is perfect for anyone who appreciates the more complex sounds of tech.

I have never seen Mauro Picotto spin live but I would love to..if I ever get the chance
I first heard of him when I heard his track Komodo spinning at a club I was at..after I heard the song, I had to find out who produced it and have been hooked ever since!
i was actually blessed to see him live here in toronto last december. he absolutely rocked the place!! he is a great producer and has tremendous technical skills as a dj also! props to mauro picotto!
Re: BxR label

Picotto
I dont remember where i heard of Picotto ..but i remember he used to produce dance music in the early 90s....i think he was part of a group called Club House...something like that .... as a producer hes been out there a long time..but i think he hasnt been djing for a long time at all
first ever picotto song i heard was
Mauro Picotto - Pulsar.. back in 99 hehe..
i didn't like it then.. but now its ok =p
The first time I saw him live was @ Trance Energy 2001. He was the best. And now I've got the mixes live @ HR3 XXL Clubnight and Rosenmontagsrave. They're all very good!!
it's like this...it's like that
I heard him for the first time ages ago it was Lizard in 99 I think but I had heard his name before then. It was on the compilation of the best trance anthems...ever mixed by john00fleming. Since then I bought komodo on vinyle before i had even heard the track. Double pack long before anyone heard of it. Since then I have been buying al his releases from his album. Next oen to get is like this like that. Banginnnnnnnnn'''''''''
CHOON#
He is undoubtedly the top of my list
Mauro Rulez!!
I have to say mauro picotto is one of my favorite artists at the moment. That mixmag CD of his was just truly awesome... I first heard of him about 1 & 1/2 years ago when i heard Lizzard for the first time and that got me hooked to mauro...
May fave picotto tune at the moment is either 'baguette' or 'verdi' i think these two tunes show how his style of music ranges so wide from trance type stuff right up to techno & hard house
Peace

yep
For me it was also Lizard, cuz my fella is dj and he used to spin that tune all the time about a year ago (or maybe longer). Mauro Picotto kicks ASS!
But I prefer him more as a producer than as a dj, cuz he always spins his "own" (BXR etc.) records, which is the easiest thing to do! He also didn't have such a tight set as, for example, Johan Gielen, at Trance Energy (believe me: I was there). But he is a great performer and he even waved at me during his set at Trance Energy!!! (no, not kidding; I'm serious)
Anywayz, his records are COOL!

Since i heard Komodo six months ago, i am really interested in Mauro Picotto,

I first found out about a while ago when someone mentioned his name on this forum. I've never been interested in him until I heard Komodo for the first time. Now I found the song:
Mauro Picotto - Parade drums (limited vinyl)
Try downloading that one if you're a Picotto fan and tell me what you think of it
I was hooked on the Sosa tracks way back in 1997, but I didn't know it was Picotto. I first started actively hunting his tracks in 1998 when I heard Lizard and Ricky Effe's Technotemple. Mauro Picotto is definately the number one producer in my mind. No competition. We find Timo Maas and Mario Piu at distant 2nds.
Btw. someone said that Picotto was behind some act called Clubhouse in the early 90's but only recently started spinning. That's not entirely true. He won a DJ competition in mid 80's and has spinning ever since (don't know about the time before), and the act was Cappella (U & Me, U Got 2 Know, U Got 2 Let The Music etc.)
I agree that he's changed his style somewhat over the last year, and so he has during the years before that. He was the driving force behind the Mediterrenean Progressive sound, which was developed in cooperation with Gianfranco Bortolotti from about 1996 to 1999. If you listen to something like the early R.A.F. tracks "Ocean Whispers", "Bakerloo Symphony" or the first D'Agostino EP you'll reckognise that things didn't happen overnight.
Well, I'll stop here, I could be writing on this subject for days..
The best picotto track for me is 'Pulsar (Picotto Tea Mix)'
The tea mix is a really deep trance version and it fucking RULES!!! It was on Gatecrasher Wet but nobody seems to have the full ver on MP3
