Bathroom Attendants at Clubs

I think they are extremely pointless and annoying

they are like squeegee kids, they give you a useless service which you dont want and then you feel obligated to give them money, and then if you dont give them money they get pissed off at you

I would much rather pay the bathroom attendant $2 to clean the bathroom before i use it, rather than pay him $2 to turn on the tap... I find myself hesitating to go to the bathroom sometimes due to the fact that its going to cost me money!

at the same time i feel bad for these guys because its obviously a shitty job

I think that clubs should just get rid of them in general

Just another scam for the club to get money off you.... as if you arent spending enough money on cover and drinks

anyways, enough with my pointless rant....

just dont pay them or dont make eye contact, I dont care

this is why i dont wash my hands.

I love the attendant at FootWork. She is such a sweetheart.


Other than her, I don't like washroom attendants. They are pushy and annoying.


Idma, wasn't there a charge for us to wash our hands at WODNB? =/

Good analogy.

Call me cheap if you want, but I rarely tip them. I see no reason whatsoever that I should give my money to these individuals. When I pay for something, I expect something in return. I don't get anything in return when I tip a bathroom attendant.

lol, it never occured to me that there would be female bathroom attendants in the womens washroom..... i feel 10x as bad for women bathroom attendants.... a women should have to work a job like that!

I only tip them if I take gum or candy from them (which I rarely do).

The attendants pay for all that stuff with their own money. It has nothing to do with the club.

I'll pay them a buck to hand me paper towels when they pay me two bucks to wipe my ass.

Yeah i figured it worked something like this..... i wonder if the attendant actually has an hourly wage.... or if it is pure tips... because paying the bathroom attendant seems like a waste of money to me.... seeing that the club isnt much better off with one (IMO)... unless it was an upscale one, then it would be seen as a necessity... at least to make people feel like they are at a high class place hahaha

They don't get paid by the club. Their salary of the night is based on whatever tips the clubbers decide to give them.

I don't know of a single club that pays their bathroom attendants.. maybe a few do, but it's definitely not the norm.

The attendant is also there to maintain the cleanliness of the washroom and is intended to be a deterrent to stop people from vandalizing the washrooms, doing drugs etc..

+1. In some bathrooms (guv main room) it's probably more sanitary to not wash your hands regardless.

If the bathrooms are kept clean, they are polite, and do not look like they are standing there with the hands open expecting something - I ALWAYS tip (usually a toonie).

Think about the shit these guys have to clean up. G-puke, E-poo, K-goo.... it's pretty fucking sick.

If you have ever had to take a shit at a club and you had to clean up the mess yourself before laying down a thick brown one.... think about it - is $2 that steep of a deal?

my problem is that i rarely have money on me..let alone change (is that what boyfriends are for?)

Hey.. it gives someone a job who would not normally have a job. It puts food on someone's table and I am okay with that.

2 or 3 dollars out of my pocket on a Saturday is fine by me if it means food on someone else's table.

Yes, the bathrooms are frequently maintained like this on Mars. If any of the bathroom attendants on Earth clean up puke and poo, they probably work in the bathrooms of billionaire mansions.

I feel like a cheapass when I dont pay them
I feel dirty when I do pay them

And, by the messy state of a number of bathrooms I've been into that have also had bathroom attendants, it makes me wonder - do they really keep it that much cleaner?
