i know DM is not trance, but all electronic music lovers gotta respect them. well, i'm a HUGE fan, been for ages. their new album "exciter" weren't due for release until may 14, but i got an advanced copy today. it's super great. well, very lay back type of album, good for a quiet night at home. nothing dancey at all. for us die hard DM fans, it's a drop of heaven. oh, i think it is also good for chilling out after a night at a rave.

the only thing i like from depeche mode is the remix that dj shadow did to one of their songs...i forget now...it's olllld.

Depeche Mode are great! They meant a lot to the dance scene as it is now.

But also don't forget about New Order, Duran Duran, Simple Minds and, even earlier, guys like Jean Michel Jarre

not to mention Dave Gahan - Dirty sticky floors (Junkie vocal + dub)
and Dave Gahan - I need you will soon be remixed by G&D

btw Dave Gahan is the lead singer of Depeche Mode
