Where shoul'd i study sound design in Australia especialy Melbourne.Thanks..Is goverment give points for this ocupaction when i would like to get permanent resident??

maybe try looking into tafe places for courses, or maybe rmit:

not sure if universities do a sound design course or anything but maybe try searching them

www.monash.edu.au

www.unimelb.edu.au

maybe some others here have done something similar and can help but i dont know much hehe

You can also do a Sound design course at AFTRS, but that is in Sydney. That's more directed toward film than music tho.

Theres always TAFE sound engineering. I did that for a year. Complete waste of time. unless you want to be a roadie, or record dudes in thier 60s still thinking they are gonna be the next big thing.


Also, you'll need to pass an english test. You might want to work on that.

Ooh, snap.
I sort of lost interest once I realised that in Tasmania you have to be a roadie to break into the PA business, and from PA into studio recording, and no sound production company would hire me as a roadie because I was female (and as such couldn't heave speaker bins around all weekend in case my uterus fell out, or something).

Plus the fact that I passed when I attended only maybe 30% of classes is a bit of a worry.
