Arrow Help Needed! Software

Hey TrancEaddicts from all over the world!
I am looking for a program that can record the music that an application plays(note an application with no recording capabilities, such as winamp or bpm studio pro) straight to the hard drive. Example :u r mixing 2songs in bpm studio and there is another program that records your mix in a wav or mp3 file..that's what i want!
if u get what i mean,i'd really appreciate responses on software!
Thanx much!

I use cool edit pro. But i record through my line in on my soundcard using a line in cable

I find it easier to use a MiniDisc player to record it, then back again using something like MusicMatch or Audiograbber. The quality you'll get will be equal to that of the original

If u wanted it that bad, and u didn't have digital in, u could record it straight to MD, then once complete, run it back in.
Admittedly, it would take double the time, but hey.

really? I find it pretty hard to come by a nice one that has optical in..

let's see Here is a random Review of the audigy.. see any digital input (not the firewire one) ?

the creative site was down, so i had to find some other place that had the specs...

only on the platinum do you get digital input! and -dear flystyler- i am not willing to spend that much money on a soundcard

I have a mate who makes comps, so price for my sound card was very competitive. I have a creative sb live. It has pritty much eveything, i thought it was digital input, but it might not be.

Anyway mate u seem pritty clued up with comps, so if i have a prob expect a pm Well if i cant fix it anyway

Oh and remember most peeps on this forum dont no a lot about comps, so i understand ya, but other might not

It was quite good whilst it lasted. It had an unfortunate agent that runs in the background in Windows, which I think had a memory leak.
After a few hours of your comp being on, it locks up and renders your soundcard useless.

Once uninstalled - voila, back to normal

I've got the Creative SB Live too, but it doesn't have digital input; the one outermost right is the digital OUT. I think the only way would be to plug your mixer into the hole that produces the sound output and record it with something like Cool Edit Pro..
