Which X-Men am I?

So, last night I was trying to sleep, but every time i moved around I kept hearing a noise, like a plastic wrapper crumpling. So i blindly started "scooting" my blanket hoping I'd throw whatever was on my blanket on the floor.
no dice.
So i got up to take a look at what would be making that noise. It was dark so I just stood up, took the blanket off my bed and wooshed it. But i kept hearing that damn crumpling noise. So i set it down and scooted it again. Then i saw something.
My fingertips were emitting light as they touched the blanket. It wasn't like the SINGLE small jolt of light when you touch a doorknob and static passes. Well, if i put a single finger on it and it didn't move, yeah. But still, there was no shock.
When I move my fingers against blanket, the light emits and follows my hand. If i don't move my hand, nothing happens. Of course, i was scared just like any other x-men when they realize their newfound powers, and i was afraid to give myself cardiac arrest as i slept, so i slept without a blanket last night.
More importantly, it's amazing my laptop didn't die last night cus I took apart my laptop on my bed last night and kept shrugging off that blanket cus it kept creeping on me (i had tossed it to the other side of the bed).

so, a couple of things:
1. which x-men am i and how do you think i can refine my powers?
2. I went to my ex-teacher's house today to do some Tech Support aka Reverse his BritneySucksCock.exe Support and I saw a pretty bad accident where a car was FUCKED UP and the guy was lying on the floor (i dunno what happened). I was thinking maybe I could've prevented it if I had used my powers. Should I feel guilty?
3. I didn't feel any static shock today at all, doorknobs, kitchen sinks, my door handle, etc. I think the blanket is my cape.

and also, just a side question irrelevant to anything here: Could I make some serious cash posing as a Global Warming Therapist? Charge maybe $50 an hour to have 1 on 1s with people who are stressed as a result of global warming?

welllll anyways....
what is causing this? cus i'm doing it right now
If i just touch the blanket, i see a single flash (electric jump i suppose). It doesn't light the room, but you notice it if you look closely (or see it in the dark)
If i move my hand around on the blanket, the lights keep going until i finish moving my hand. It doesn't shock (like touching a doorknob), and if i go and touch the doorknob, i don't see or feel anything.
When it has happening last night, it was pretty much only the my legs in the blanket, and i only got to noticing it because i kept hearing the sound of plastic wrinkling. but of course, there was no plasic.

is this just a natural anomaly?

why does it jump all the time? isn't it supposed to make only one jump, unless i feed the source, by, say, me rubbing my socks on the floor? And why doesn't anything discharge against the doorknob?

Maybe your blanket has the super powers and not you.
