ok, i now know the price, but what media does it take? how easy is it to navigate through tracks etc? give us a little review will ya?!?

Posted by rollypoles on Apr-10-2002 18:08:

Rasta

looks pretty tight...i gotta get me one of those so i can play my mp3s in the car....oh, that would be awesome...

Posted by Roach on Apr-10-2002 18:27:

Thumbs up

Thats pretty cool man, but its a really good thief attractor...
I wouldn't want to have something that flashy in my car so it can be stolen.

The only issue i see with these current mp3 player is the following:

If you have a live set thats 120minutes long but have it split into tracks, so you can FFWD, yet it will play continuosly between tracks as to listen to the set. Is this possible???

Posted by ABTsportsline on Apr-10-2002 19:49:

thats phat fernando....

i am going to get this unit here... not only does its colors match my dash (so it will fit in better), but it also has a nice input plug on the side, so you can plug in anything.... my laptop to pump surround sound DVD's through the car, a cassette player, cd player, or mp3 player..... pimp.

cheers

Nice choice ABT , i have the (i think the 2001 model of this unit)
that one looks like there newest model of there mp3 player

its been very nice to have and its a must if you have a large collection of mp3s

i think the jvc's are the best out for the $$$ right now .

Can you use any of these players to Fast Forward WITHIN a particular file? That's what I need! I have a lot of long (70 minutes+++) files and I NEED a way to either jump to a particular time OR hold the button down like on a standard CD player. I noticed that not too many MP3-CD players have this feature but, most (ALL?) standard Audio CD player have the ability to SEARCH Forward or Reverse THROUGH a track. Why is this kind of feature SO hard to implement on an MP3-CD player? SONY has EXCELLENT sound quality on their portable audio equipment but, in their D-CJ01 MP3-CD player, they left out ONE feature. It is the feature that is the reason why I'm NOT buying this player (I'm loyal to SONY a bit too much!): SEARCH WITHIN A TRACK! EVERY one of their CD players allows you to hold a button down to search within a certain track for the spot you want EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE! That's what made this player only 90% perfect! EVERYTHING ELSE was fine and is EXACTLY what i needed EXCEPT FOR THIS! They always have to screw up the "PERFECT PLAYER"... Well, I'm waiting until their next MP3-CD player comes out and I'm going to try to give it a "test run" before I buy it (I read reviews of the other one, that's how I know about it). It will be out this July...

first of all.. use alineas.. fat words and all.. yr txt was a bitch to read

2nd of all why dont you start burning yr mp3s with cue files? Doesnt really matter if you make em up yr own or find em on the net.. You can easily make yr own for yr live sets.. youll prolly have way 2 many sets allready backed up.. but hey... @ least this is a nice sollution aight

Posted by tc-fan on Apr-11-2002 02:36:

ok here my review...
it can read long as files names...
i had a track called Astral Projection vs. Trilithon - burning up..and it displayed it all.
you can pick ANY color you want to displayed it...or have it randomized to display diff colors...it can read CDr-CDRW,DVD,CD,CD w/text.
this is the best thing about it...it CONTINUES WHERE YOU LEFT OFF when you turn off and turn the radio or car..that means you can put one it live trance mp3 in it...also you can scan all tracks meaning it plays every track for a few secs. then goes the other one..
Support ID3vX. X meaning any number...you can also fastfoward the tracks...it display the track, folder, filename, time, track #.
also has AUX ports for
AUX
TV
GAME
DVD
PORTABLE
And its "XM" ready..also you can change the button from RED to Green on it..it support 24 to 320 bitrate. support also WMA files...
the model is KDC-MPV619

i am very amazed at this mp3 player...and it doesnt skip..later on when my battery of my camera is charged, i am going to demonstrate all it has to offer..more important FF, and continue where you left over track.

I mean, I wanted to FFWD and REW through MP3 FILES, CD-DA's no problem (I DO use CUEs for that!)...

Whoa! Have some extra money?
If you have, and don't know what to do with them, I could buy me a car for them
