Ferry Corsten - Galaxia

Is there anyone who dosent like this track?

Posted by Ian on May-08-2007 22:27:

maybe, but the original especially is a classic. The solarstone remix is still really good and the qattara one is really underrated. Ferry's update wasn't bad either, it's simple but that's all it should/needs to be

Posted by slinkyhead on May-08-2007 22:29:

think i heard his update the another nights at the BIC. Was nice, sounded a different level to the other stuff he was playing.

I like the 2006 version

Qattara Remix

Mmm.. the rollin' piano in Qattara's mix does it for me every time. So lovely. Tho the original and Solar Stone remix aren't bad either but i'm not really feeling the other mixes as much.

Galaxia is the worst Moonman track.. but damn, i gotta hear the Qattara mix :O

I dont see the need for an update of this track. Bit pointless.

The Original, Solar Stone and Qattara Mixes stand well enough on there own. I guess Ferry thought he should jump on the bandwagon. Instead of releasing this, he should have made a new track under one of his many aliases.

I wasnt really a big lover of this track anyway, dosnt really do much for me.

I liked the 2006 version of Galaxia. Why? It has much more power in it, than the original had. More uplifting energy. Awesome, awesome tune.

Is the Quattra remix of 'Don't Be Afraid' or 'Galaxia'?

Galaxia, just like already mentioned.

I usually don't like remixes years on, but the 2006 update was perfect for what it was

I go mental every time he drops it (I was at BIC too slinkyhead )

Posted by ClubGoddess on May-09-2007 14:42:

it still gives me insane goosebumps every time I hear it. I loved hearing it played with violins during Sensation White 2006.

Posted by Subtle on May-09-2007 14:50:

its all about Moonman - First Light (DJ Philip Remix)

Posted by RebeL9 on May-09-2007 14:50:

the original Galaxia was decent. Far from any of Ferrys better productions. The new version didn't add a shit.

me too, I like it though.
The only time I went so crazy for it was last year at Sensation White, the live string performances were INSANE!!!!

original mix of first light ftw

anyways, i guess the new version of galaxia is good, its pretty much the same as the original, and ive only heard it live so i cant really tell the differences. anyways i liked the qattara remix of it best .

that must have been something...i can't imagine what that would have sounded like live in a quality system!

i remember hearing it for the first time in 2001... beautiful song!

Posted by limin_li on May-10-2007 02:20:

the classical remake in 2003 was just speechless, you can feel the chills no matter where/what you were doing.

Was a fan of the original. I was sceptical about the 2006 version, until I heard it at the BIC, where it absolutely rocked the place.

Posted by charlie lloyd on May-10-2007 22:48:

i think the idea for the 2006 version was to fit with his LEF style sound thingy hes pushing over the last few years.

always went for the solarstone mix personally although my vinyl copy had a scratch about 28bars in, which i was not happy about

Posted by chach on May-11-2007 01:17:

Fucking classic tune !

I remember hearing it a ultra 4

Posted by woscar on May-11-2007 03:37:

It sounds almost exactly like the original, which I absolutely love. Man, if there's a single track that really makes me float it's this one!
