Rob Turner - Returning to the Outside (Summer 2007)

Download Link: http://iceadvanced.net/mixes/Rob_Tu...7_Promo_Mix.mp3

Tracklist:

01. Forteba - Perfect Present (Original Mix)
02. DJ Floy - Africa to Paradise (Logan Data Spirit Mix / RJT Edit)
03. Metope - Kobox (Ada Mix / RJT Edit)
04. Koop feat. Yuji Nagano - I See A Different You (Beanfield Mix / RJT Edit)
05. Sascha Funke - I Love This Tent (RJT Rework)
06. The Oval Five Project - Vertigo (Doi-ong vs. Spooky Thumper Mix)
07. Satoshi Fumi - Sign (Original Mix)
08. Musex - Consolador De Trapo (Original Mix / RJT Edit)
09. Spooky - New Light (Spooky Diffracted Dub / RJT Edit)
10. Moby - Go (Woodtick Mix / RJT Edit)
11. Sian - Stegosaurus (Original Mix / RJT Edit)
12. Mat Zo - Foot & Mouth (RJT "Ground Up" Rework)
13. Agnes - I'm Hard to That (Original Mix / RJT Edit)
14. Joris Voorn - Minor (Original Mix)
15. Michel de Hey & Grooveyard - Compound (Peter Horevortz Mix)

So this is my first proper promo mix in quite some time, as the last fully produced, solo promo mix I worked on was "Centrum" which was done in September of 06.

I definitely want to say thanks to Myra, Nate, Andy, Bobby, Bas, Clovis, Blake, Garth, Tony (both of you), Seneca, Jenny, Jake, Mathias, Greg, Andy #2, Dan, Charley, and the rest of MWTA as well as all the other friends and TA's who've exposed me to new sounds and helped me in all different manners along the way.

Hope you all enjoy.

Well, essentially heres the rundown of how I use terms like "edit" and "rework."

An edit, for me, generally means taking parts out of tunes that I feel are unnecessary/disruptive to the flow I try to create in sets. Most are done ahead of time so I can use the edits whenever I play live, but a few are done in post such as the edit of "Africa to Paradise," because I decided it was just too lengthy in the end.

A rework is when I take a tune, maybe add a touch to it, but generally rearrange the way the track is fundamentally built - sometimes you just have to add that kick, you know?

Both are essentially just me trying to customize tunes for my own devices - but really there isn't much to it.

Sushi was trying to get it hosted, but we haven't been able to get the link sorted out and working yet, so if you've got some time, I may need to take you up on that

Should be able to manage it in the next hour, depending on how speeds go.

lol - I had a PM right after yours that said "Permanent Link," so naturally I assumed it was up - when it wasn't, I felt like it'd be a dick move to PM you back and say "Uhhhh yeah, nevermind - please host!"

Thanks again though
