webcam issue

i bought the hp pavillion dv6338se laptop

it has a built-in webcam of 1.3mp

but the damn thing won't work

would anyone help me out to get it working?

What version of windows are you using. Its pretty hard to find a solution to software problems without that information.

i just recently found out that HP fucked up

there's no vista driver for the webcam, yet

so...why the hell would HP sell laptops with built-in cams, with vista running and not working cuz there's no driver for it yet.

i wont blame vista this time (of the hundreds it's received by me) but HP for selling useless built-in cams

Yah it sucks But Vista is still new so there is active development occurring. There should be a driver soon. There are reports of the cam working for a little while with current drivers though.
