need to fly with someone

hey folks, im flying to ottawa next week and i would like to take a couple of people along to talk to on the way, or else i will be bored when i fly by myself. their is no cost for this, other than your own expenses (food drinks etc.).. im taking off on wednesday may 16 in the morning at 3Am, coming back the same day.. expected enroute time is 3 hours to and 3 hours back, most likely a 2 hour stopover at ottawa and then back to brampton. if anyone is interested pm me or post below, and ill get back to you asap. my classmates are busy with their flights so i am not able to take them with me, and i cant find anyone else to come, becuase most of them are scared to fly in cessna's.. lol. anyways, hope someone is interested, otherwise illgo onmy own..

when you say that you'll be flying...you mean flying as in piloting?

I would love to come but my schedule doesn't allow it.
Where do you go to school?

Posted by Surreal JRS on May-13-2007 07:37:

Cool, my Uncle flies a Cessna too. Sadly my schedule doesn't permit this either.

Posted by I_Am_Vince on May-13-2007 07:43:

lol I would come but small planes make me nervous, especially at 3 am heading towards the nation's capital, will you be carrying any extra unnecessary fuel or a warhead? In case we just to happen to 'land' at 24 Sussex?

Is there room for a small mattress in the back? I'd like to bring a girl with me too, if that's ok. I'll help with the expenses too.

You're asking someone to fly back and forth to Ottawa with you - which you will pay their plane ticket (unless your company is paying for it)- just so you'll have someone to talk to? Dude...bring a book. Haha

no mam thats absolutely false. here is how it works. to get my commercial pilot license, i have to fly minimum of 50 hours cross country. i have flown 22 so far and i am building my time. even if i dont take anyone, it doesnt make a difference, and the cost is covered in my training. i am allowed to take people if i want.

for all other questions, no its not possible to bring a matress, lol. it wont fit. there is nothing wrong with taking off at 3am, the purpose for that is to log night flying time and i personally like to land at dawn, so by the time we arrive in ottawa, it will be around 6am. and im at brampton flying club...

Ooooooooh that makes a lot more sense now! When you said "fly by myself" I thought you meant you were just going on a business trip to Ottawa or something and wanted someone to sit next to! haha

Good luck getting your license

2) Did you not see post #2 (and the reply #3) before posting in this thread?
