Numark TT500

anybody have em or used em? looking to buy 1to replace my rubbishy old tt - dont want to spend a lot of cash on 1 tho! in the description on some sites it says it's basically a ttx without the fancy digital stuff which i really am not bothered for anyway. just want something fairly solid but still fairly cheap. anythin u would recommend for similar price range? 200 / 300 / $400

Thanks.

this is a very good deck id recommend it ive got the ttx
the pitch resolution is .1% but if u can dj properly it shouldnt even be a problem anyway.

thnx for ur input, that's good - think for the price range i have set myself it looks the most promising

wouldnt you be better off getting a tech 1200mk2 which is $439 new on djdeals.com and im sure thats not the best deal you can find, and you can get them at a good price used

i understand i just look there for a quick price idea.. their prices are usually somewhat decent and i know you can definately get better from guys like agi, or just search on ebay.. thats how i got my mixer and i dont even think it was used for more than a day and i bought it used

I have two TT500s. They work very well. I've never had a problem with them, and the pitch is very stable. I've been using them for a year and a half, and they still run perfectly.

Posted by Spoonz on May-13-2007 21:42:

i guess it's pretty unanimous then. that will probs be the deck i get... have sent a message to agi to see wot they can offer me 1 1210 mk5 for

It's not! Thats the main reason I opted for the 500 over the TTX. I wanted all analog.

gutted, just found the TTX1 on a website for $300 / 150 - but they dont ship to uk !

Wait wait guys. The pitch resolution for the TTX is .1%? I'm getting those, and 0,1% is too little for me I think, I usually go with longer transisitions (I mix house, a normal transition for me is 3 minutes). Is that going to be a problem?

well guess it depends if u dont mind correcting or not thats why i like my cd decks so much u hardly ever have to correct

Have a look at the Stanton ST-150's.

They're about the same price (from memory), super accurate and built like a brick shithouse. I love them, can't fault them in any way.

For that money you want to spend, just get the Technics SL1200. You can find them at ProSound for $399 brand new.

yea, i fancied the STR8-150's but dont really scratch, which i'm assuming would be the only really benefit of a straight tonearm? so the ST-150's look like a front runner just now

dude there's no way the numark's "flagship" ttx's are .1%. that would just be.. pointless. i was always under the assumption that since TT's are analog they technically have .00000000001 pitch or whatever.

Just the color. The 1200's are silver, the 1210's are black. I own the 1210's. You can get either one from ProSound for $399. I'm sure you can bargain it down a bit more.
