Balance 006 - Anthony Pappa
**sorry for being 3 years late**
CD1 is a fucking gorgeous mix. I don't know if it's because I'm a noob to progressive breaks but this mix sounds incredibly refreshing even if it's dated.
Real journey from start to finish. Nice builds leading to the perfectly timed climaxes. I don't know why but I over looked this on it's release.
The melodies are endless.
Haven't given CD 2 a listen yet, don't know if I ever will because of being busy with the first disc
.
Anthony Pappa & Alan Bremner are responsible for creating the greatest song the world has ever known.
I fucking love Balance 006 CD 1. Listening to the mix between We Will Fade and Nothing is Real still gives me chills. I really wish more of my EDM loving friends were into progressive breaks. It's great to play after a long night of partying and you're still craving a little groove.
CD 2 is ok. I don't really play it as much, and I usually get bored around the middle part. Although I must say, I love how he worked Shpongle-Beija Flor in the end. Took me by surprise. Best song on disc 2.

I agree, this is one of the better balance's. Both CD's are equally good imo.
A lot of people here including myself seem to be huge fans of CD1.
I think it's the single most listened to cd by me.
Yeah disk 1 is awesome, disk 2 is ok but I don't like it that much.
006 is one of my favorite Balance compilations.
i actually discovered it about a year and a half ago when i walked into a Virgin music store while i was in Athens, Greece. they had CD 1 playing over the speakers there, and i didn't know what it was at first, but i was really enjoying it as i was browsing for some new CDs, so i decided i had to figure out what it was so i could buy it. i asked one of the guys working there if he could tell me what CD was playing, and he got it for me and then we ended up talking about dance music for a while. anytime i listen to CD 1 now it always brings me right back to that day... which is a truly amazing feeling.

love it, one of the best in the series. disc 2 is just pure tribal/prog dirt!
From what I see on discogs he looks like a really good cd mixer. Will check this and also his best of platipus double cd.

this is the one with 'freakout' right?
Disc 2 is my favorite. So dark and dirty. Reminds me of Quivver's Transport mix.
i think i also prefer the breaks mix to the prog mix but there are some great tunes on each one. check out his 'resolution' mix comp too, it's mad!!

Listening to it now and I'm about half way through the first cd. It's nice, but I don't deem it anything memorable really. Maybe I'm missing out on something, but I've heard far better prog-breaks sets than this, this is just alright.
