Truly Heartwrenching Story about Love, Family and Death
Told via photography.

I saw my aunt, uncle and two cousins go through a similar case with my cousin who passed away at age seven from a lifelong struggle with brain cancer. It's a terrible thing to have to experience, and it amazes me at the strength it brings out in an entire family and circle of friends. I wouldn't wish having to go through that on anyone.
Looking back on it now, my cousin rocked. It's a shame that my being at a young age (he was three years younger than me) I was reluctant to talk to him and be around him more often.
I totally bawled.
some very powerful photos
This is why I want to be a nurse.

Originally posted by StanVoid you think I care? If he was joking, it's still disturbing that he'd think there's humor to be found somewhere in this.

Originally posted by StanVoid nope, sorry i can't really think like that. Maybe it's easier for a nurse or someone who's been around it often enough.

Originally posted by jennypie Well it doesn't mean other people are "fucked in the head", just because they don't deal with it/react to it the same way you would.

Originally posted by StanVoid i agree, but there's a difference between taking something like this a bit light-heartedly and making an incredibly twisted (given the subject matter at hand) comment like he did. It's pretty interesting though ... to put it in perspective, how things like strongly racist comments never fly on this board, but a fucked up joke about someone's death is considered just taking things a little less serious.

Originally posted by idoru 1.) People being banned for racist comments are using those racist comments in a negative fashion, to attack someone and bring them down. 2.) The particular joke in this thread was just that, a joke, not intended to cause harm. Was it in poor taste? Maybe, but his intent was not so. What you cited are two things that cannot be compared.
