program that captures all your computers sound output

I'm sure this has been on here before, but can someone link me to a program that is free, and can capture all of your computers sound output as .wav.

So that you can easily record the audio from videos you're watching, audio conversations etc.

would there be a way in cubase to make an audio channel record your soundcards output? so you could record the audio from a video you have playing in vlc.

Depends on your sound card. If it supports ASIO Direct Monitoring, then yes, you can do it right in Cubase (you'll need to consult your board's manual/help for the "how to", since it varies from one device to the next).

If not, then go for something like Total Recorder.
