Official SENS Stanley Cup Thread

Just posting a thread in enemy territory since I have no where else to put it (yeah, yeah insert pun here: ). I know there's another thread regarding the current Buff-Ottawa series but this thread is for the final, providing Ottawa doesn't pull a 2004 NY Yankees' chokage.

at least it aint the leafs....ottawa doesn't deserve hockey.Anyone who has been to Corel Center fo a game knows this. They clap like it was golf and probably eat the hot dogs with knives and forks. Fuck that go buffalo...at least they have real fans

You know what? I agree. When I was living in Van in 94, it was rabid and Toronto and Montreal would be nuts right now. I know Edmonton and Calgary went nuts the last two years.

Ottawa is still fairly quiet right now .. I think it's a byproduct of boring gov't/university/high tech city. Or maybe because the fans here expected to win the Cup years ago

I'm not Sens fan living in Ottawa.....the city is nervous. They really don't know how to react cause they've never really thru this before.. Alfie is finally playing well in the post-season.

someone told me once that you could hear the ventilation system at the Corel center so quiet the games were. hehehe

Because Ottawa simply sucks. I went to a renegades game and it was mardi gras night. Beads for tits and football. I was in heaven. The some white english broad complained and Ottawa once again became the official parking lot for hull strip clubs.

lol what?!?! I have been to a few Sens games in the playoffs and the fans were crazy. Or maybe I was just really drunk and I was just being crazy lol. Still it seemed like it was pretty loud in there.

I won't deny that Ottawa is one boring fucking city though. SO glad I don't live there anymore.

I went to a Van-Sens game, was taunting my Sens fan buddy in front of several people (was cheering for Van) and no one said anything. Mind you, I was in the family fun zone

Btw most of you probably never even went to a Sens game. The crowd is actually pretty loud and I find the atmosphere much better.

Everytime I went in Montreal, some parts of the crowd are good, but half the arena is corporate tickets with a boring crowd.


Also, the Habs suck and the fans are the worst always complaining and then adoring one player just because he scores during 3 games in a row. Thats why the team is always medium and going nowhere. Wont be any big changes for next year thats for sure.

I respect a lot the Sens Ottawa.. they playing well... Alfredsson is doing a great capitain job by making the good timing check, making the goal at the right time!

But I have to say that I love Buffalo.... it's a team with a lot of Quebecors!! if they win in 7 games. I'll be happy... but Sens is a Canadian Team... would be great too for the country.

If I understand, you said that atmosphere of a Ottawa Home "PLAYOFF" game is better than a Montreal Home "SEASON" Game is better? Maybe!

But I went see two games in Playoff last year... one Tampa vs Ott and Hurricanes vs Montreal Game 3..... and guest what.... Montreal Fans are way better and louder.

A first grade teacher in Montr�al explains to her class that she is a Montr�al Canadian fan. She asks her students to raise their hands If they are Montr�al Canadian fans too. Not really knowing what a Montr�al Canadian fan is, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands fly into the air.

There is, however, one exception...a little girl has not gone along with the class. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

"Well, my daddy and Mommy are Senator fans...so I am a Senator fan too!" she responds. The teacher is angry now.

"That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your Mommy was a moron, and your daddy was an idiot...what would you be then?"

Caitlyn smiles and says..."Then I'd be a Montr�al Canadian fan!"

hahaha...much better atmosphere..they have to stick the arena in the middle of nowhere to make sure if any emotion or sense of enjoyment is displayed at least its far enough not to hit Ottawa. It was all written in we stay lame in Ottawa at all costs contingency plan. You are right about the habs though...they won't win a cup in a long time, simply because management does not have to win to put people in the stands...just like bal en blanc
