The TV show, DO YOU WATCH IT?

(we're NOT talking house music here, ppl)

I first saw an ep of this show back in Feb or Mar, and found it kinda interesting. Ive heard of the show before, but never watched it. Im not a big "doctor" show fan in general, so nothing to really pique my interest in this show.

That is until I saw an episode by chance one winter evening while making a grilled cheese on the stove in my kitchen! I was interested enough to wanna maybe check it out the following week, and then they had an episode about a girl who couldnt feel ANY pain at all (she had SIDA), and I was hooked. House's antics, attitude, abrasiveness and witty comments reeled me in. The content of this episode in particular about the girl's ability to feel pain just sealed the deal. I was so fascinated by this medical condition.

Ive now been incredibly fucking hooked on this show since... what 2, 3 months now.

Its def taken over as my favourite TV show... I rather watch it than even Heroes (I cant believe that myself)... I'd prolly watch it over The L Word too (even MORE unbelievable!)

Anyways, who else is a (massive) fan of this show like me?

Thoughts or comments after last weeks, last nights, tomorrows episode? ... and... ONLY TWO LEFT in the season!!

Glad though that its already been renewed for next year. Another year of House's wit in my life.

LOL, and I found out when a whole slew of us went out to lunch last Wednesday that 5 or 6 staff (older staff) here at the office as massive fans as well. Dont miss an episode.

That surprised me actually. We have quite the following here at BDO apparently!

LOL! that made me chucke out loud.

The rerun from second season where the wife, it turns out(as House figured/suspected even though everyone else said he was obviously warped), was poising her husand w/ gold, Foreman wouldnt stop insisting it was Lupas!! lol

Its always almost lupus.

Good ol' House, he's sooooooo the man! He wasnt buying that Lupus BS from the black doctor

I watch it and like it, although at first I didn't really because I didn't understand 60% of what was going on - all the medical stuff went right over my head. Then after talking to some die-hard fans of it, I realized they understand even less of what's going on, and that the only reason they watch the show is to hear House make fun of someone. This cleared up the appeal of the show to me (before I was confused as to how you can enjoy something you don't understand), and I too started liking the show.

I find House to be a modern version of good ol' Sherlock Holmes. If you think about it, the medical cases are most often solved by his very observant nature, and by his ability to make correct deductions based on what he observed. I bet there are more parallels, but I'm not in English class, so I'm not going to look for them, lol.

Bas who frequents the chillout room has a great picture about it. We're a bit behind here on it, Season 3 is about 4-5 weeks in, but I can't be bothered to dl the episodes yet, i have enough shows to do that on so It doesn't get spoiled

A friend here at work lent me the first season which she owns.

I ended up watching the season on back to back nights (Fri and Sat) bc I simply couldnt stop watching it!!

I was up till 7am on Sat morning when I finally realized "OH FUCK! Its still tax season, i gotta go to work on Saturday!" so I had to go to bed to get atleast a few hours of sleep before heading in.

When got off that day around 5pm, watched the rest of first season.

In every episode I think I was literally laughing out loud at some witty comment House would make to Cuddy, or his team, about something! Just so pure jokes.

The thing I like most about the show is watching House sarcastically just rip the other characters apart (so jokes), and also how they all disdain him, but despite his lousy attitude and rude , abrasive comments, he's clearly a very logical thinker and he's smarter diagnostician than any one else around.

As much as you (they) wanna hate him , you simply cannot not respect his brilliance. Ouch.

my #1 show. I'll actually watch this show with commercials, as for the rest they all get downloaded.

Seen every episode, and are safely stored away for a rainy day.

Yap! Took me to 3 years to even see an episode of this show by chance.

If only I'd seen one randomly when it first came out... I do recall some staff discussing its 'brilliance' once upon a time in a car ride to a audit client of ours thats about an hour east of us. The premise of the show isnt one that would normally piques my interest at all. Its the dynamics of the characters, and the interplay between them (particularly House) that got me hooked.

(And Cameron is so fucking hot/cute! Reminds me of Kirsten Dunst for some reason! <3 her!!!)

i actually just started watching this as well a few months ago as a friend of mine kept telling me about it....and not sure why i was surprised..lol...but it's a really entertaining show....sometimes I watch it with him and he's like "i wish i could talk to patients the way House does...."....he's such an ass#*!@ on the show...its awesome.....

This is my 2nd favourite of the season. (my first favourite being the one w/ the girl who had SIDE.... coudlnt feel pain).

i was over at a friend's house tonight and her mom insisted on watching house.... after a bit of grumbling i caved, considering it's her house, her TV, she fed me dinner, all that stuff... where the hell has this show been all my life? absolutely LOVED it!!

Exactly what I thought after seeing my 2nd episode!

God... life w/o House seems boring now.

It took over every other show on my list and made me a great deal less interested in them

(How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, etc... all shoes I had strong passions for and followed)

So Season 3 is ending and House has NO STAFF! Whoa.

Firing Chase... that shocked the hell outta me... left field totally.

I'm interested to see how they all end up working again for him (bc I still think for some reason they'll all gonna still be on the shows opening credits... but maybe 1 or 2 or all of them wont be)

Thoughts? What did yall think of that ep?

First season's season finale is still my fav though.

2nd's was "WHOA" too.. havent seen it in its entirety though.
