Allergies... killing... me...
Solutions?
So far, Flonase has been super-dee-duper but the box says not to use too much. Don't wanna get hooked on it, ya know what I mean?
Anyone else getting hit by a wall of allergies?
flonase won't get you hooked whatsoever.
sudafed will knock out anything, including you.

Allergies don't kill people, OJ Simpson does.
Allergies, that's gotta suck. Clearly its god's wrath for killing baby Jesus, Yan
His people killed Jesus
i have allergies you don't see me acting all yenta an shit
I just got back from school after 3 classes (which means I skipped 4) because of alergy. Can't take it anymore. My medicine worked perfectly until 2 days ago. I'm looking like a disaster. Today I'm getting new medicine, hopefully it'll work.
I read Sudafed here, but I'm sure poster really wanted to say Benadryl. Sudafed is primarily a decongestant, meaning it will clear your nose, but it will do squat for your allergies. Benadryl is the anti-histamine that will supress your typical seasonal rhinitis symproms. It's made up of diphenhydramine, which is an excellent antihistamine (by my and hospitals' experience), but it causes you to be very sleepy, and thus why it is used as the primary ingredient in so many over-the-counter sleeping pills.
Right now we're going through tree pollen allergies, but my period begins in less than a month when grass pollen takes its toll on me.
After a few years of developing seasonal allergies, and with each spring affecting me worse and worse, I finally gave in and went to see a doctor. I used to just take benedryl/sudafed and any other medications with diphenhydramine in them. However, I found them to help minimally and the diphenhydramine KNOCKS me on my ass, even if the medications claim to be 'nondrowsy'. So instead of being a walking zombie for weeks, I went to see my doctor and got prescribed Zyrtec and a Fluticasone nose spray. So far, it's been working great. If you have a good health insurance plan, I recommend prescription medications, but they are way more expensive than they should be.
why are you helping him!
i gave him back his dreidel but he cant give me back my jesus
My boss told me to go get her cats at the vet last week, I sneezed all the way back to work on my 30 minutes drive.
Natsy cats.
I don't, however, use normal antihistamines anymore. After almost 10 years of trying different non-drowsy anti-histamines, I finally found Reactine (cetirizine, same as your Zyrtec, Caela) sold over the counter here in Canada.
It's not as fast-acting as benadryl, but it it lasta ll-day without making me tired. I often forget I even have alergies on it.

i go through a box of tissues a week (no joke). i'm supposed to be on allergy meds, but i never bother. had flonase at one point and it gave me headaches so i stopped with it.
Bollocks to alternative medicines. Plenty of anti histamines and a few Jim Beams will do the trick the trick squire. You'll feel as right as rain in no time.
I work with some obese bird who is allergic to everything! Mrs Wheezy and Sneezy to add to that she's as white as ghost.
i just have constant mucus and clear snot in my nose and i'm always having to blow my nose. have to have tissues everywhere i go. lol
doing coke once in a while definitely doesn't help. i end up with a sinus infection every time.

It sucks because I have a wimp ass stupid fucking shit mucosal lining that sucks donkey balls... so when my allergies kick up and I am sneezing and rubbing my nose and what not, I get nose bleeds ON TOP OF IT.
It blows chunks.
I suggest Reactine. It seems to work ok.
If you have serious issues, ask your doctor for Advair.
Allergies FTL.
the Danny Chatelaine track was so much beter than this thread
the only thing i have to say is that i used to have terrible, terrible hay fever every spring and summer. claritin did a decent job with this, if i timed my taking of it -exactly- right but it ended up being a bother.
what actually helped? im a guy so i just stopped using soap on my face. i just scrubbed it with hot water and a wash cloth, and voila, my allergies pretty much disappeared. now that may not work for everyone, but facial washes are almost too astringent for me, so moving to a lighter face wash/soap/or nothing could create improvements.
shit i cant even be within 15 feet of a Bath and Body Works without getting physically ill|
I get allergies in the Spring and I'm allergic to Sudafed. The irony.
