[Electro/House] Dan Saenz & Ron Reeser - Promises(Anthony Ross Remix)

well i was about a month late on the deadline for this one... most of you guys know it from the Starkillers remix which is just absurdly awesome.

i took a much more minimalist take on the track and just had a big bassline.

this will be out on JetSet Music's section on beatport this weekend.

Sample here: http://www.myspace.com/music

let me know your thoughts

Anthony

It's technically a good track.
Sorry can't really comment much more than that, Electro house does very little to excite me.

But you should be happy with the technical side of things.

Cheers
Nem

pretty good on the production work i would have altered the levels of some of the percussion elements and put a limiter with a compressor on the kick and bassline so the kick would come through with a little more oomf but all in all great track. the little things i talk about is me knit picking shit.

if its cool with you i'd like a copy to run in my sets and on my radio show.

message/IM me so u can send me a promo for the show.

Really solid - not necessarily something I'd play, but well done.

Would love to hear it live on something big

thanks

Posted by music2dance2 on Jul-09-2007 08:25:

Someone else asked that question not long ago. Its the bass pitched up

Posted by Xavi on Jul-09-2007 08:27:

hey, thanks for that

How do you create that effect of having the bass pitched up? And can you do it in Fruity Loops?

Thanks.

Posted by music2dance2 on Jul-09-2007 08:28:

Yeah just use the pitch bend

Posted by Xavi on Jul-09-2007 08:31:

ok I'm like a total newbie...can someone tell me how to use pitch bend?

Posted by music2dance2 on Jul-09-2007 08:33:

whatever synth, sampler or VST etc there should be a pitch bend function on it check the left hand side they aree ususally there. or post a screen shot and Ill have a look.

Posted by Xavi on Jul-09-2007 08:39:

hey thanks!

I use FL studio 4

Posted by Xavi on Jul-09-2007 08:41:

like see where it says 'pitch' at the top of the window? Do you need to morph that? i.e. does the bass morph at all?

Posted by music2dance2 on Jul-09-2007 08:45:

Thats not it. Im not FL user so not sure sorry to make you post the screen shot, maybe someone that use's FL can see what I mean. It must be on there some where.
