hey chaps and chapettes.
i have just send off my entry for the atb rmx competition that was running. i found out about it about two days ago and the deadline is today so i quickly tried to get as good mix/ arrangement as i could. a little bit of clipping here and there and i wish i had more time to do the mix etc, but i will improve the mix when i have the time.
you can check it out here:

This is a superb remix.
Production Quality = Superb. You're right it does clip a little, but not enough for the average listener to really notice. Vocals fit very nicely with the rest of the track.
The quality of your work has really sky rocketed in the last year.
Keep up the great work
agree with eternal :-)
I only think that the kick sounds a bit muffled in places...otherwise it's cool ... good job...
only thing that bothers me is the vocals...they're terrible from start
but that's not your fault
hey guys.
thanks for those real nice comments
the kick is muffled.
couldnt get it sitting in the mix right and needed to address that but ran out of time for the deadline. ill sort that. i wanted to go for a radio edit arrangement due to the fact that the max file size is 5mb!
i have to say the samples in the rmx pack really were amazing! and fun to work with
Sounds nice man - like the melody. Best of luck to you in the comp.
Rhy
thanks rhythm
lol so you did go through with it? nice man, I didn't really have time so I just thought I could make a real good remix that I could pass around to my friend djs, you know just to have floating around.
Cool, this is great for just two days of work.
The mix sounds very clean to me.
Awesome job and good luck in the competition.
hey, sounds nice for such short notice, but no emotion there for me.
I really enjoyed it. I haven't heard the original, but I really liked this track. The synth strings, the indie-rock bass, and the mixing was solid and memorable.
Sounds cool, Rich
Good luck!!!
it also sounds good to me _ nice flow through the mix _ wish u all the best for the competition
thanks for all your nice comments
hey rich
you've put the gale sound into this only it sounds alot more deep dish now. thats a nice vocal works well with the sounds in the track.
mix is very clean apart from the clipping as stated
loving the pads in this they sit well in the background
cant really complain here nice mix you done here
well done and good luck in the competition
cheers
barry
thanks for the review barry
havnt seen you for a while..
i must be stupid for not knowing the original,
however this tune sounds nice, i like the bassline. the vocals are awesome! nice background synths, they fit well
maybe add a echo effect to the vocal? to give it that extra touch
nice melodies, keep it up!
greetz,
Bidor
just got told this will be aired on matt darey's nocturnal radio show tonight

thats quite an honour that atb listened and commented to it in person!
shame he didnt like it though
i thought the vocals worked alright. i have not heared the original version so just adjusted the vocals to fit the beat. i thought the vocal samples were out of sync with the standard 4:4 drum pattern but i suppose they meant to sound like that, and thats why mine sound wrong to those who have heared the original.
tbh the rmx was thrown together in a few hours due to only hearing about the contest a few days before it was due to end. even if i had time to put proper work into it, i didnt expect to be one of the winners, so i sent to a few of the dj's i know that play my work. didnt see anything saying that was not allowed.. i saw most of the remixes offered as 320k fulls on the forums.
shame most of the atb hardcores didnt like it
