The best night at TiL ever- for me anyway
Ok Im done,,,,,i've been trying to sleep and it just aint wokring-grrr!!! Im gonna go try again lol
Just waking up from a seriously fun night/ morning...
Great people, great vibe, and most importantly - great music. One of those "FUCK! I so do not want to leave!" nights...
Showed up around 2ish and heard Luke deliver a classic set, right until the end. Couldn't even ID a single tune that he dropped, and sometimes I like it better that way as his set was FRESH!
So many 'wtf is THIS' moments scattered throughout the night, and an evening out is always that much better with a great cast of those around you
Feelin' tired today, but the weekend must go on...don't forget about button/jon jon/crawford/coleridge tonight @ footwork!

Review Time!
The Night
One of the better nights I've had at This Is London, which says a lot, considering how the last 5 times I've been there have been more or less stellar. I used to constantly bitch about the place, and then I pretty much decided to pick and choose my parties there. Attending Friday wasn't even a consideration...How can anyone even contemplate seeing Luke Fair again?
Betty Spaghetti and I arrived at just a quarter to 11, and only waited in an empty lineup for less than 2 minutes. The venue was decently filled, but gradually became packed as the night progressed. The crowdedness was a bit too much to cope with on the dance floor, and the Cribby elbows didn't help so much. Dancing behind and beside the giant statue was the best option before 2 am for us. It was a pretty predictable night in terms of people, lights, and service, but I felt more at home when I realized that old System Soundbar regulars and Tribers made up a good chunk of the crowd. It was very refreshing not to run into any sketchy folk. The energy levels were pretty low at the beginning; once 3 am hit the crowd went mental. Lots of great groovy dancers! Had to unfortunately leave at 4:30...after parties call!
The Tunes
I was under the impression that Lee Osborne would start off the night, and was disappointed to find Manzone & Strong on the deejay booth. for some reason this led me believe that his set was canceled, but clarification from the man himself put me at ease. M & S started off the night decently with some tracks that made my legs swagger while making my rounds. The sound was pretty low for most of time which didn't help getting the crowd going. Nothing noteworthy but it polished the dance floor to be ready for the next set.
Lee Osborne came on at 12ish, and without looking up at the booth I could already feel his presence through the music. I swear, the moment he dropped his first track the crowd suddenly woke up and started really giving er. Lee ripped it for the short amount of time he was able to play. It was techy and intensive, just the way I like it! It didn't suit the overall tone of the night, but it was definately a wakeup call! Besides, I wouldn't want Lee to start going soft on us anyway
. Solid mixing as well. I was disappointed that it was just a teaser set; we need a longer time slot for Lee!
Worked up a sweat even before Luke Fair came on, but when he stepped up to the plate I was ready for a musical change in mood. I had over-hyped this night for weeks, listening to sets of his all day. I was confident that he wouldn't disappoint, and he was definately on par with my expectations. This Is London's classy and upscale environment was perfectly suited for Luke's style of music. It was soulful, groovy, melancholy, beautiful, funky, and relaxing. The progression of his set made sense. It started off really groovy and deep. This gave me the opportunity to rest, but still be able to work the shoulders while chatting. About a half hour later he started to drop the more relaxing yet fun Summer tunes. This was the stuff I wanted to hear. Progressively funky tracks with catchy melodies with enough of a kick to jam to. At times, the crowd moved like a lava lamp, swiveling from side to side in smooth motions. It was incredible to be a part of this. I was screaming in awe when he dropped 2 of the tracks I was looking forward to hear from his Kiss 100 sets. He also dropped a few from his album, which was good promotion. After 2 am the dance floor had slightly enough room to really get me going, and that's when all the trademark clown moves came into place as Luke dropped those proggy beats: Cribby Claws, leg swaggers, electrosexual shoulder movements and funk-u-spins. At 4 am, Luke dropped that one song I was itching to hear. It was a beautifully emotional track, and I couldn't help but close my eyes and feel it. It was also track of the night for me. There some parts of Luke's set that I found questionable... they were a bit too stale for my liking, but they gave me some rest for my legs. Overall, his set was sexy.
The Tracks
Manuel Tur - Everything
Fanatix Feat. Sterling Ensemble - Keyla's Dream
Sebastien Leger - Cosmonite
Wamdue Project - Home Planet
Robag Wruhme - K.T.B. (Ruhig Brauner Mix)

The Doppler Effect Vs. Planet Funk - Beauty Hides Inside All The People (Ricky Ryan Mashup Edit) *TRACK OF THE NIGHT*
Just remembering these tunes makes me feel chills!!! <3
It was great seeing everyone, and a few surprise appearances here and there. Tried to keep to myself quite a bit so that I wouldn't talk my mouth out! ah well...
I look forward to Luke's return!
Happy Birthday once again to Sarah and Karina. <3
had a great night- luke was amazing- sexy beats for sexy feets- loved the ups- loved the downs- luke can mix it and always a pleasure to watch him play- until next time-
amazing night, bojana nice meeting you also even though i've met you like 3 times before lol
track of the night for me was
Bent - Waiting For You (Danny Howells Remix)
such a fucking sexy track
Spectacular all around. Luke really blew me away. Busted out some of my favourites from Balance 011.
I honestly didn't feel like I was at TiL at all. It felt a lot cozier than usual and everyone was there to get down and dirty.
Always fun to meet some addicts on the dance floor!
