Numark DXM Repair

I have a Numark DXM06 that the CH1 red rca output is putting out little to no sound. It did this the other night at a gig and I wiggled it around and it worked but it's not coming back now. I'm an IT guy so I'm decent with electronics and was wondering if someone could possibly tell me what to check if crack this thing open. Otherwise, does anyone know where I would take my mixer to have it fixed? Thanks in advance.

TBH mate, they are pretty shit mixers.

Both channels went on mine, for the past 18 months I been mixing using the crossfader only. LOL.

Mind you, it did take a bowl of cereal complete with milk over it and still puts up a fight, this was after channels died.

I reckon you might be best just buying a new mixer, www.htfr.com selling some sick 2 channel eclers for well cheap.

Or get a nice vestax.

Repairs I have no idea.

dxm 09 is pretty shite if you ask me
played with one at a party, when youd cut the bass, the highs would go too
crossfader was dead sometimes on one side, sound was utter crap

Yeah, they aint great.

Digital signal path + effects, yeah okay. Not bad.

But I've had one for like 3 years, and there are better mixers out there build and sound quality wise for the price.

So shove it mystery, i just bigged you up in the music discussion.

I don't know how you "bigging me up" has anything to do with this, but I just simply cannot agree with you on this one. I've had the DXM06 for 3 years and while there may be better mixers out there it's pretty fucking solid for its price range. In fact, the only reason I got a new mixer was that I needed a four channel one...

And wotyzoid... please stop wasting everyone's bandwith with your useless pictures.

I am with Mr.Mystery on this one.
I had a dxm01 for about 2 years and it was working perfectly all through.
Was damn good for its price.
Only reason I got rid of it was to get more channels.

EDIT:
Back on topic...
For the amount that a mixer like that is worth, don't bother trying to get it fixed, it won't be worth it.
If you lucky the plug may just be coming apart.
Since the mixer is finished anyway open it up and try fix it.
Maybe just some solder will do the trick?

Well, I had the DXM06 mixer for about 2 years which I bought second-hand of me mate who also had it for about 2 years and everything on it works perfectly.

I'd say for a 170 mixer, you can't go wrong considering it's digital with effects as well.
