i was playing soccer in a latin american tournament was heading for the ball and this other girl..HUGE..by the way also went for it..but INSTEAD she decided to HEAD me..hit me right on the left corner of my eye..lightly cracked my upper cheekbone place near the eye..my eye was swollen for weeks..in addition i couldnt play in the finals in a beautiful soccer stadium..DIE BITCH

had appendicitis<-- or however you spell it..normally people go to surgery only once but my bod reacted weird and the thing got swollen after the operation had to go back and do it again but this time the doc decided to leave the cut open cause he said it would heal naturally for weeks i had a small opening on the lower right corner of my side

my right ankle bone got shattered as i was playing hide n seek at a church and one of those huge wooden table things fell right on my ankle cause this girl was hiding between that (which was layed horizontally) and a wall and she pushed the door as she got up from her safety corner and i happened to be going by

in footy i strained my cruiciate ligaments and coulnt play for about 2 months... cudnt walk for about 2 weeks either...

Posted by Freeza on Apr-12-2002 02:32:

Once I broke almost every bone and ligament in my hand. Very painful.

But here it is:
im gonna make this mad short. Um i got in a car accident and I lost a big chunk of the right side of my left heal. They thought i might never walk again. finally after 6 months i had sugery. then with more recovery i was allright. Thank god i can walk now (and dance)

o and guess when it happened too? less then an hour after school got out on the last day of school in my jr year. fun summer huh?

Posted by Damo on Apr-12-2002 02:34:

never been seriously ill besides the common childhood stuff, but my worst injury would have to be tearing two ligaments in my right ankle playing basketball and having to be in a cast and gimp around for an entire summer. cigarettes are your best friend when you're a gimp.

I broke my left arm 3 times, once at school and twice playing football.
I had my left leg broken once skiing too.
I suffered duodenal ulcer when i was 19, appendicitis at 18 and pneumothorax at 17 (playin football).
I'm a dump

Yeah, I've been through that. Back when I was in fifth grade my appendix burst. Funny thing is...I didn't feel a thing and the doctor's didn't know what was wrong with me. I couldn't eat or drink a damn thing cause every time I did I threw up, and I went for a week w/ them burst before finally going to the hospital (we discovered something was seriously wrong when I threw up once and it was grass green, no lie). I got rushed to the hospital where they operated right away and had to spend the next 18 days there getting my stomach pumped. Couldn't eat or drink anything for like a month. Yep...it sucked ass

I had PENEUMOCOCCAL MENIGITIS when I was 14 (8 years ago). Thats a infection in your brain fluid.

The meninges (plural of meninx) are membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord. Meningitis usually results from a bacterial or viral infection of the fluid found around the brain and spinal cord. This substance, called cerebrospinal fluid, acts as a cushion for the brain, spinal cord and the meninges.

Had to lay in the hospital for 2 months. Most cases are fatal, so you could say I got lucky .

"Did it cause any damage"

I only got a little more freaky

Nope...can't say that I've ever been in the hospital (for myself anyways...)
I'm lucky to catch a cold...
And after 7-8 years of Rugby...I count myself pretty lucky
Yes...I'm one of those healthy lucky bastards...

/me too

in addition for not being sick for a long time i'm not one of those guys that in low temparture feel cold
i was in Poland a month ago... and it reached below zero...
some of u are regular to it... but in Israel the coldest temparture on a normal winter is something like 7-8 and in the summer it can reach more than 30... in Eilat more than 40
so i'm used to warm weather... and in Poland when it was snowing (a thing that don't happen in Israel... maybe once in a long time and just on the highest places) i only wore a t shirt sweatshirt and not so warming coat... and i wasn't cold
a friend of mine wore 6 layers and felt very cold when i walked arround in a short t shirt
heheh am i lucky or what?!
/knocking on wood again
