I was hoping that your intro was simply bandpassed...

That acid-lead sounds more like a psy-trance lead to me on a regular musical scale. The kick sounds muffled and bandpassed (we will not start on the clap). The bass doesn't interact well with these elements too well. I do not like the reverb in this track: it is far too metallic; especially from that acid-lead.

The arping lead you had coming in, I'll admit, was pretty cool. It was simple and had the idea going for it.

These pads sound somewhat thin to me, in fact, I'll go as far as to say that the track as a whole sounds somewhat thin. The hats also need some work, though they are barking up the right tree. The hats need some filter changes, programming changes.

You have a good melodic idea here. It's very much akin to the uplifting-epic trance ideology. The only things you lack are some mixing principles and some unification amongst the timbres of your individual instruments. As cliche'd as it sounds: when it comes to mixing you have to have all the elements either compliment each other, contrast each other, or blend together in a planned way.

Your arrangement isn't so bad. There were a couple parts before your last breakdown that I felt needed more variations, or elements to keep the track alive. Otherwise, you have the idea.

Spend some more time in the mixer, your synths, and trance listens and your mixes will quickly soar to mint quality.

hey i updated it, tell me if you think its any better.

i actually had thrown a highpass over the track around 32hz, thought it would make it more listenable on the average system. took it off tho.

starts off sounding like hard trance then the melodic synth comes in and leaves me a bit lost.

acid lead is very old skool sounding, the whole track sounds quite old skool and slightly psy.

your eqing and sounds are well worked. melodies are actually not bad but there are too many styles trying to get out of this track.

take a listen uplifting trance of today and try to mimic it in your own way.

cheers
