great movie, still one of my favorites from last year
I rented this movie on Friday and still haven't watched it. Either something has alway come up in the evening or I haven't felt really well. So I don't get too many late charges I need to be sure to watch it tonight!!
Dave
i really enjoyed this movie.
Badass movie.
LOL @ Curly's sig.![]()
definitely one of the best movies I seen in the past few years - I usally don't watch movies in the theatres, but I had a good feeling about this one
missed it on sale last week, didn't get a chance to buy it
i absolutely adored it!!!!
I watched with friends and there wasnt one dry eye in the room.
Mexican directors kicked ass last year with Babel, Children of Men and This movie, not sure if Del Toro is Mexican or not(he has produced alot of his movies in Spain), but am glad Mexicans are taking their productions seriously again. Be sure to check out the devil's back bone, similar in style as it is a period piece.
I enjoy films with a historical backdrop and this one did a fantastic job weaving fantasy with the gravitas of the Spanish civil war. I'm not very into the fantasy genre, but I enjoyed "Pan" greatly. I was surprised that it didn't win the best foreign film at the Oscars, with all the critical acclaim it received.

My sis saw it and said it was good, but I haven't
I'll have to rent it ASAP, thanks.
movie was pretty wicked at IMAX, got a chance to watch it there...
it was very intense in the theater.
We already saw children of men, now i am just waiting on a good chance to watch Babel. I have had it for a while, we just haven't had a chance to sit down and enjoy the movie.
you guys seen "El crimen del padre Amaro"?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0313196/
Its another film from another Mexican director. The movie is very similar to Amores Perro's and Y tu mama tambien.
Its directed by Carlos Carrera, I think he will be the forth member of the 3 amigos sooner on later....

The Other Techno Twin
Yea it was very good! Damn I wish i saw it on IMAX that would been sick! It had very good graphics and awesome storyline, definitely not for kids though.
yes it was an awesome movie! I went to CINESPACE and they did dinner & and a movie.. and that was the movie!
I don't get this movie. Really, I don't. Can someone explain to me the actual relevance of the historical backdrop other than to serve as a role for an unwanted, harsh environment to escape from? It didn't seem to influence the fantasies, even though the fantasies somewhat affected the realities in the movie.
