05.23.2007 ---> ROLL CALL: 'NO COVER' Wednesdays @ Harmony Lounge

Join us as we start a new night at 589 College Street West at Harmony Lounge (right beside CHINA DOLL). It will be 'FREE' cover all night, we have different deejays playing the best in house music & eventually will be bringing in SPEACIAL GUEST DJ's! So get over 'HUMP' day @ Harmony Lounge tonight w/ 'FREE' Cover, cheap drinks & fun people.....see you later starting @ 9pm!!!

you've been a member since november 2005. you should know the rules by now.

ps. people usually look in the event forum first if they are looking for somewhere to go.
pps. posting an event the day of usually is not recommended since not many people will see it.

Maybe so, and I have better things to do that spend my life on TA, and thik that by being on this site it entitles me to KNOW every and ANYTHING there is to know about this scene!!! Anyhow I simply use this to advise people of upcoming events.....this is a ONE OFF party tonight and a very small venue.....HENCE the reason I didn't post this a few days ago or it just would have disappeared in the long list of pointless threads.....thanks for the advice aanyhow!!! Keep that in mind for next time...

as far as posting the event in the event forum, posting it a month ago wouldnt mean that the thread would be lost as all threads in that forum are sorted by date if you havent already noticed.

I'm not looking to start a WAR with people here, but like I mentioned before this is a VERY small venue, and a ONE OFF party.....not to mention last minute as well. SO REMEMBER that ACTIVATE throws the bomb parties all the time, and NOBODY posts like you, or I'm sorry I didn't have someone else start the ROLL CALL.....my heart is breaking over TA people......COME ON!!!

for future reference, just get a freind to start the thread for you.

That way you don't look desperate for people, you don't get flammed by the regulars, you don't have to get worked up over it all, and most importantly it makes it look like there's some hype!

Normally I charge people for consultations... you get that one for free

What he said is just a bit of established taboo on TOTA.
If you're spinning or promoting at an event, it's tacky for you to start a roll call. (Posting on events forum is fine)

So next time, just get a TA who's attending this event to start a roll call for you.

I owe you one for that free consultation then!!! I normally do have friends start it, just it being a last minute party and also a ONE OFF deal means SHORT NOTICE on the posting! NOW I KNOW......and KNOWING is HALF the battle!!!! LOL
