Lost vs Heroes Season Finales

The lost season finale yesterday was actually pretty damn good while the Heroes season finale on Monday was wack, corny, and killed the whole first season.

heroes finale was a steaming pile of crap. lost was good, but not near the quality of years past.

heroes was campy and entertaining this year, but it will always be junior varsity in terms of acting and writing compared to lost.

yea i agree. i always thought the writing and acting was definitely second rate in heroes but watched it for pure entertainment value. however the season finale was just horrible. they tried making it all dramatic and touching but it pretty much just flopped

Heroes was pretty much "eh" don't watch Lost but I did catch some of it at the gym last night and that finale seemed more exciting than Heroes

+1 I liked the finale of Heroes.

I don't watch Lost so I can't say much but considering that Lost is trying to save a sinking ship I would think they would pull out all the stops in their finale...my .02 cents.

i just think its pretty well done for a made for tv superhero show. fun to watch, effects are decent and it has a decent balance of humor and drama. and yeah hiro is the man. but peter petrelli has the potential

they're plannin on making a spinoff for the summer where they introduce more superhero characters and viewers will get to vote and decide which ones are gonna become regulars when the second season starts up, seems like a pretty cool idea.

He believed that he had to die in order to save Claire and the baby. Some sort of self sacrifice. What I think is this is a test of Charlie's faith, call it self sacrifice(think Abraham and Binding of Isaac). Charlie may return in the future.

yea i realized that but i think it was a bit far fetched because the signal was already off and they had scuba gear.

Also if you look at the name of the funeral home its a anagram for "Flash Forward"

i dont care how or why he died....he is just dead...and good riddens...most definetily the worst character on lost

LOST season finale - I have mixed feelings about it.

I loved that Charlie died and I hope he stays dead because it was a beautiful scene of his accepting his life and his mistakes, learning to love himself and others... for this, the island allows you to die as you are supposed to.

I HATED that they got off the island, but my friend suggested that perhaps they didn't and that was a portrayal of how their lives *would be* IF they were to take Naomi's boat and leave.

i loved the Heroes season 1 overall so i liked the season finale. It DID seem like it was wrapped up quickly though and there was no real ultimate showdown (i wish they had done a two hour finale and NOT just a regular one hour ) regardless, it was good and i teared at it, esp. thinking of Peter and Nathan. (but i dont think Peter is dead though? cuz in the episode "Five Years Forward" he is still alive despite exploding?

also....umm sylar died...and yet he wasn't on the ground in the final scene?!! (is this their solution of leaving it openended).

ok LOST has been on and off this WHOLE season...more exciting in the past two weeks...and THEN...last night it was like BOOM! a TOTAL turnaround...it blew me away like WTFFF?!~~

i didnt get it. but the explanation in the post above makes sense...it made me sad to see Jack in that state tho. And then, Charlie would have died for nothing (unless that was also part of the WHAT IF)

did anyone listen to the LOST podcast for the explanation to this?! Did they say Charlie was off the show for good?!

I love both shows, and but the Lost season finale was definitely better. And overall, especially at the end of the season, they continue to do things that i didn't see coming. Great, great, great. And I don't think Charlie's dead.
