who/what spins Dave Ralph??? (trance)
hm ive only heard of this guy but there's a lot of AG stuff w/ him, i know he did an old EM way back when
also a tranceport II i think?
what good sets/albums of his are there, or are they all too dated by now. how come he's never mentioned?
yeah i knew i had heard that name before. he did do the second tranceport, and its the one that really sucks. its trance/prog leaning more to the prog sound i think. nevah heard anytyhing good by im tho/
WHAT is spun by Dave Ralph
Vinyls, I hope
*runs away and hides for making such a stoopid joke*

first bought a cd of dave ralph from the love parade
he spins trance to the best of my knowledge.
Dave Ralph......used to be paul oakenfold's number 2.....born in the uk (born in liverpool, england actually)....eventually moved to florida...a few yrs ago and basically spins all over the united states now. Recently married to some nice looking lady (I have a pic of him and his wife) from some site i found a yr ago. I'll put it up sooner or later. He spins trance, i say personally his best yrs are behind him but then ppl point to his tranceport 2 compilation. I believe he has 3 albums out, tranceport 2, love parade berlin (live) and naturalized. If your an american.....chances are that you will see him once....in your lifetime because he plays all over the USA.
I've heard he's pretty good live but 'naturalzied' is terrible IMO. It's just a bunch of mainstream progressive that doesn't build up to anything like progressive should. His love parade album is pretty decent though.
I have an old tape of him playing live from Dreamscape, new years eve something like 96/7. it's a nice set, not uplifting, not too hard, but still what I'd call trance, @ that time it's very much what you'd call the psy-trance, like what a lot of the Israelis are playing now

Hmm... i thought dave ralph was well known all over the place, maybe not?
I mean he is resident at Buzz where i live close to but i've heard about him even b4 i started going to Buzz... But yea, i wouldnt' say his cd's SUCK or that they are GREAT, but his live performances definitely can be Great and they can also defintely be SUCKY from time to time. LOL
Dave Ralph was on-point at HFStival in Washington, DC last Sunday! He tore it up!!!
He is a nice guy, too. I talked to him after one of his sets at Buzz last year, the night before Ultraworld's Odyssey. Buzz was closing early - noone was really even left in the building, and he was trying to pack his stuff up to go, but was still as polite and cool as could be. He ended his set with Steve Miller's "The Joker" that night, with nothing mixed in, just the original vinyl. That was pretty unforgettable.
I saw Dave Ralph last year here in madison (one of my friends actually got him booked at one of the fraternity houses on campus). Anyways it was a pretty good show, decent mix of prog/trance. Ended with Flesh, that was cool.
Dave Ralph used to do a resident in Philly at Evolution. I'm not sure anymore because I haven't had the chance to get out to Evo for him.
But every time I've ever seen him there, he was amazing! Dave does not play alot of anthems and tracks that we would hear in a Tiesto / PvD set. He's more progressive and definitely more of a chill style. Kinda like Christopher Lawrance.
As in any DJ, you have to hear their livesets to really appreciate how good they are. Most CDs that DJs release do not really showcase their talent.

yeah, dave is resident here in washington dc @ buzz. i've seen many of his sets, though i usually try to avoid them. most of the time i don't like them, but every so often he impresses me. actually, he's impressed me twice.
i've never really liked his mix CDs either, but i have all of them. the naturalized 2-disc set is the best, but that's not saying much. some good tracks on it, but not much flow.
