Terrorists Threaten Tiësto.
Shakira had a Beirut date planned for her Oral Fixation tour this summer, but Lebanon appears to have dropped off her calendar.
Rumors have emerged that Fatah al-Islam has directly threatened to kill DJ Tiesto if dares to show up for his planned July 2 concert in Beirut. The Dutch DJ has been voted as the world's best for the past several years. On October 1, 2005, Tiesto broke records when he made his long awaited debut in Beirut. Over 16,000 showed up to party with their beloved Tiësto at Forum de Beirut, in what was been coined the largest event ever in the Middle East.

| Ya Libnan was unable to confirm the validity of the rumor, and it could possibly be a hoax. |
haha

I have more informations about this "threat".
It started as a simple joke from people who haven't been identified yet. What happened is Ya Libnan (lebanese news website) reported the information as a serious threat to Tiesto.
It then seems that some dutch journalists found the information over the internet and it was a matter of hours before Tiesto heard that story, put the night on hold and wait for further development.
The lebanese government as well as the organizing team and sponsors are currently leading an investigation to I.D and find the people responsible in order to try and save what's left of the event.
No need to remind you that Lebanon is currently undergoing a crisis that's fragilizing the whole nightlife and that an oax like that, in my opinion, should not go unpunished (regarding my dislikes for Tiesto).

His album sales must be low. Sounds like publicity stunt.
