Recording sets

Does anyone know of anysoftware that can record what is being played through the sound card?

Alternatively, is there any way of playing in one sound card and recording to the other?

I have two Creative AWE64 SoundBlaster cards.

Please Help!

Yes there is a way.

Go to your control panel in windows then double click on sounds and multimedia.
Under there, there's a subpage called Audio. You have 2 preffered boxes there, playback and recording.
Make sure those 2 different and click the
"only use preffered devices" box.
Now you can record anything you play with soundcard 1 and record it with soundcard 2.Make sure tho you adjust your settings in your Recording program (cool edit for example) and that that programm uses your second soundcard to record.

I'm currently using Cool Edit 2000, I've just started using it and it works pretty fine (although it's only a trial version). Hook the sound card up to your mixer and it can do wonders!

soundforge

I like to record with SoundForge because if you have to full package, you can do everything from record, to normalize and create into an mp3 to burn and track a cd! Fixing volumes is a quick fix too with this prog! There is a shareware version of the prog and a $50 and $250 version depending on how much you want to do. $50 is well worth the prog!
