BIO_
Once a familiar face at a local record store, Eddy Jasmin is now one of the most prolific and respected club DJs in Montreal. For 19 years he has put his music above all else, mastering the main room sound that has come to revitalize the after-hours scene.
The Haitian sensation has several residencies under his belt and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. These days, however, his signature style of balls-to-the-wall house and progressive has taken on a vital dimension:Electro.
Along with production partner and technician extraordinaire Julien T, Eddy has developed a tribal and techno-flavoured style of electro that is both accessible and underground. His creativity in the studio is matched only by his energy behind the decks, its a potent combination that breaks down barriers, opening hearts and minds to the myriad influences that make Eddy Jasmin a late night saviour.
Eddy J. has left an indelible imprint on the development of Eastern Canadas House music community. Tagged Montreals Prince of House, Eddy is no stranger to Techno and Electro vibes, borrowing the best of both styles as his fine-tuned animal instincts guide his selections, delivered with taste and poise.
Eddy is now a regular @ Stereo Nightclub.

I usually do electro,minimal,tech nights at velvet.
I'll do a party like that soon,it's already prepared.
I will play mostly electrohouse,techhouse and proghouse,depending.
Eddy,he's one of the best montreal dj,also a pioneer dj.

I went there last night, it really sucked. The music was slow and extremely boring. Why would someone waste having good djs play at such a crappy event. X-cube is an awesome techno dj but I guess thinks he must play slow boring electro music because he is at velvet. That's crap - people really wanted to dance to some good techno but he didn't deliver. Anyways, it was a waste of $7 - nobody was there and the club had an old basement smell. I will never go to such a crap hole again in my life.
Please X-cube don't change your style at different events. Be consistent. I only went to this velvet club cause I thought you were going to throw down a good techno set. Now if I see you name on another party I won't know what to expect and probably won't go.

I had a good time.. I always do at the velvet, the crowds always great and I can always be comfortable. I had some drinks and spoke to some people I've not seen in a while!
Eddy Jasmine dropped some crazy beats that have those dirty basslines and soothing vocals, I'd definately see him again.. I think he's playing at piknik next sunday!

A rough of a review? I guess it's not the type of party I am into. That place would maybe be okay for an afterparty in the morning. But why in the hell would you want to listen to slow boring electro at the peak of a saturday night. I agree it was well mixed and the Dj's are good but I think most people are there to dance and party to music a little more upbeat.
lol techo head, different strokes for different folks bro... and fyi many many ppl that frequent this website will party their asses off to some bangin (altho "slow") electro house at peak hour on a saturday night...and X-Cube did actually mention that he'd be playing electro...
regardless, i would have liked to make it out to this but im actually visiting the family down in the states right now... despite what techo had to say it sounds like it was a pretty good night eh?

Thanks for your comment. Like nick84 says,the party was organised to be Electrohouse and that's how it happened. Sorry if you found the night or music boring,but you should check the first thread message and read carefully to not have a surprise like that.
I suggest you to email or message me next time or ask here,what kind of music i'll play or the music style of the event before,so you'll know and be more satisfy.
