haha....yeah, but i like trance. Just not soft fluffy trance or vocals(most anyways). I like the hard progressive style. Tyas being my current favorite.

if you like hard progressive style, J00F is one of the best. not hard from the beginning but he builds to it like no other, ie. @ peaktime he played DJ Scot Project - U.. <-- 95' Hard Trance classic.

you'll probably like M.I.K.E. as well he plays a unique style of trance pretty much uncomparable to most trance jocks.

just always understand to never expect an artists' dj performance to resemble their productions and/or assume a good producer would automatically be good @ djing as well. complete different artistry.

i just found this thread hilarious, the subtle 'its 3am' comment..lol

haha...that's the response i was looking for, i just bet we are going to see a bunch of people calling me out on that.

Yeah, i love M.I.K.E.. Don't get me wrong, i love trance, just not soft fluffy trance and most vocals.

Oh yeah, i don't even like A&B productions, i just needed to kill the night and get fucked up. NOrmally i wouldn't go to an A&B event, but i needed the stress relief

Not a big fan of vocals either, they are rarely done right and most times end up just being annoying to me because I can't hear the BEATS! I didn't go either but I do like SOME A & B productions. How was Pacha overall? They're service getting any better? Were there many people there?

Fuckin A. I just got home. What a fucking night! Paavo and Tony killed it imo. Paavo's energy was incredible! It's not rare that I close out a club, especially when I was up at 4am yesterday morning. For some reason I had so much energy and wasn't tired at all. I'm assuming it had to do with the music. Anyway, I'll give a more detailed review later... maybe.

The highlight of my night was getting Kel and Wai a signed poster card. I eventually got one later on and a poster.

Pacha was ok at best. The sounds was pretty good. My ears aren't ringing. Their AC was a big oscilating fan in the corner. I honestly never sweat so much in my life. It was def worse than Patterson/Tyas at Crobar/Mezmor/whatever you wanna call it.

Pics to come sooner or later

Love Poundin' Sensation Re: Re: Re: Above and Beyond Review

i'm a huge fan of a&b productions and many of those from anjunabeats so this was a pretty good night for me musically. tony and paavo played a great set but i felt like something was missing. i was sooooooo excited about paavo in nyc and he was full of energy but not so much in comparison to the last time i saw him. in comparion to december this wasn't as good but i can't really explain what was missing. there were a lot of good vocal tracks (cant sleep, air for life, etc) but the highlight of my evening was Breakfast - The Sunlight ...love it

as usually great seeing everyone, thanks dan for the postcard and jay for the poster which i gave my roommate as a reminder of her first edm event. too bad they closed kinda early.

It was okay, I was expecting a lot more, although, everyone says last time they were more amazing. I was, however, so surprised with how many beautiful women there were EVERYWHERE!!!! Wow... the place was just crawling with hot girls that I never woulda thought would spend their night at Pacha for a trance event, I was very pleasantly surprised haha...

tracklist>?

Ahhh what a night! Tony and Paavo definitely tore it up. Opening with Michael Cassette - Zeppelin (holy fukkkkk what a choon), I was instantly pumped and ready to fly. Quickly, the highlight of the night for me was definitely Joonas Hahmo - Sound of Sunday. For whatever reason, Sound of Sunday for me, was the one tune all night that sounded like home on the negatively critiqued Pacha sound system. That Alt+F4-ish (well Joonas is one half of Alt+F4 of course) melody at the breakdown blended right into the classic eighties anjunadeep bass-line sounded so clean and perfect. I especially enjoyed Battery Life (Your Laptop Overheats! Causes Reduced Performance and Lowers Battery life life life life life life life) SVD's remix of King of the Castle (although it was the dub ), Rank1's not so ordinary remix of A Lifeless Ordinary (MANNNN did that one kill or what, that dark minor chord change to the renown major chord of the original was just ridiculous! Although, Pacha's sound system wasn't really allowing the "farting" bass to reach it's full potential IMO), One Night In Tokyo, Adam Nickey's Never Gone (the Above & Beyond Re-spray), Oliver Smith - Nimbus (this tune defined floating on a cloud), Sunlight (btw how SUNNY is it outside today! Damn!), Nitrous Oxide - Frozen Dreams (omggggg one of my favorite tunes of 2006!!! I was in absolute euphoria!), and to top it all... Randy Katana - In Silence Txitarro Mix !???????????? Holy fukkkkk where did that one come from!???? Aw man what a classic!

But like most of you guys have mentioned, the night lacked the X-Factor, or what you guys call "the magic", that very special night in December had. I believe part of it was due to Tony and Paavo stopping an hour earlier than expected. Usually (well in the case of Dec. 2) that hour is designated as the magic hour, filled with memorable classics thrown back to back. Well... apparently that magic hour didn't exist tonight . Also, many of us (well i know I did) probably got the kick of adrenaline at about 4:30-5 or so.. you know... the time when fatigue suddenly becomes the last thing on your mind... well Tony and Paavo stopping at 5:10-20 certainly didn't help at all. Anyways... is g-money putting up the tracklist? (well he's the main TL man of course ) If not, I'm here for w/e needs to be filled. And it was a pleasure meeting everyone! Btw... Videos and Pics ASAP everyone! I have a few on the way as soon as I fully recover for sure.

- Dan

EDIT: OH How could i forget Amsterdam! Lalala And I miss you... arksun + ashley tomberlin = classic

and Oceanic! That would have been my tune of the night if I had heard the piano clearer... well the whole song in general if it were clearer...

i have mixed feelings. there was something missing yesterday... the set was awesome, but not as good as their december show (imo).

Ahh! I missed Amsterdam I left around 4:50ish mark... right after In Silence - Txitarro Remix. Some other highlights for me (Besides Sound of Sunday which was incredible!) were Til Ya' Drop!, Cold Front - Claessen Mix, and Fly Away - Cosmic Gate Remix. It was my first time seeing A+B and I had really high expectations, especially based on what I heard from their past appearances in NYC... Last night didn't really satisfy what I was expecting. It was a good show, but I guess it was missing that x-factor.

Also they only played till 5:30, such a let down
