Have any of you guys come across this concept yet?

Sellaband is basically a site where believers (ie. you and me) can listen to new artists (various genres of music) and purchase parts (ie. shares) in our fave artists.

It's basically an investment opportunity, allowing you to invest in the music that you like (yes, there's trance artists there also).

1 part = $10 USD. Once an artist reaches $50,000 USD, then they go into the recording studio and an official CD is released. All believers in that artist receives a free limited edition CD.

It gets better. Believers also profit through advertising revenue, and CD sales.

A: Definitely not.
