-- Maarten De Jong - Massive [Dancevilla]
Maarten De Jong - Massive [Dancevilla]
This dude is a relative newcomer on the scene and officially, it's his first release.
It's a very strong release nonetheless and has been quite well-recieved.
His production style draws strong influences from Sander Van Doorn / Marcel Woods and similiar.
Massive - Right from the start, you know this track will be really menacing as a deep, growling bass kicks in and the crisp hi-hats flesh out the track even further. There's a distinctive Purple Haze'ish sub-bass going on in the background as well.
An ear-piercing synth lus into a really short break after which this predictably, massive lead synth just explodes.
It just gallops along from that point to the main break.
Pretty much a standard tech-trance break that leads into the outro.
I'm very impressed w/ this track and it's a guaranteed club weapon.
Production quality is high and it'll fuel the techier dancefloors.
8.5/10 Listen
Massive Remix - Not really feeling this to be honest.
Not as full-on as the original w/ a more progressive vibe.
7/10 Listen
Release Date : 4th June
Definitely loving the Original........top class!
Will this find its way to any digital release stores? I'm dying to get my hands on it...
I actually have a copy of the release and it has been released both on vinyl and digital stores, however you can only purchase it with a dutch credit card. Been waiting for it for a while...I remember hunting for it months ago and there was no information especialy since Whitevilla doesn't maintain the dancevilla website by any means.
maybe some day itll be distributed internationally but until that day it remains exclusive.
Maarten's been producing for a while now and has provided productions for countless dj's and producers, he's not really new to the scene but this is his first release for himself and definately glad to see it doing so well.
I do a weekly radio show (details through my website if anyones interested) and this weekend will feature Massive (the original mix) as well as an exclusive personal remix of Armin's Rush Hour so should be a good one.

Don't really like the original mix, but the Offshore remix really rocks!
