Roll Call: Chris Liebing @ Footwork Saturday June 9th (EXTENDED SET)

WHOS IN FOR SOME FUCKING THUMPING TECHNO????????

Since I started listening to EDM in grade 11, I went from cheesy Tiesto trance to techno because I just loved the thumping "ooonce ooonce ooonce" sound, didn't know jack shit about it but I started searching "techno" on google and came up with chris liebing, dave the drummer etc etc...downloaded some shitty quality sets and fell in love!! Since then I've been all over the place with EDM genres, but TECHNOOOOOOOOOOO will always have its special place in my heart. Chris Liebing is among my favorite techno DJs and I just can't express my excitment enough over the internet.

SO this shall my first TECHNO ONLY event, and my first time at footwork...I'm BEYOND excited for this, that's why I'm attempting my first roll call as well . Dancing for hours to some killer techno, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh


Ok enough of me lets get to the main point: CHRIS LIEBING




After 2 years the wait is finally over. Germany's Top Techno Dj and producer "Chris Liebing" is confirmed to return to Toronto with a rare and extended set. Get ready as Chris plans to unleashed his signature banging sound and destroy the dance floor.

This'll be my first 'techno-only' event too (unless you consider Burridge and Richards to be "techno" the last time they were at FW).

I'm gutted to be missing someone like liebing at a place like footwork, but I can't complain, my alternative plans aren't too shabby!

It will definitely be a great night!

haha, dude this techno we're talking about, not some regular sunday afternoon.

I'm hoping to be there later in the night. I have a friend's bday to attend earlier, and will duck out a bit early to make this.

I don't think you can get vindication for missing that event. After hearing the recording, I was kicking myself.

Usually sets are ~3 hours right? so an extended should hopefully be around 4-5 hours but I guess we'll have to find out the day of...

My guess on timeslots is Jamie or Lee 10-12, Chris 12-4, Jamie/Lee 4-close (which is either 5 or 6 usually)

When Burridge and Richards played, both of them closed and their parties were labelled as "Extended Sets", so I'm guessing Liebing will close this one out too.

I hope the set is recorded... should be a great night! If I was still in Montreal I would probably do a roadtrip for this one.

I am going to see him at a few festivals this summer but I would definitely prefer to see him in a club environment!
