Thanks for this. You saved me the trouble of digging for his material. I haven't heard any productions by Sean yet and would like to give him a chance. I'll let you know my thoughts on this mix of course.

Who the fuck is Sean Tyas?
He looks like a power ranger.

Posted by nefardec on Jun-06-2007 01:07:

i would say the anti-tyas threads are pretty legendary

sean tyas looks like a david blaine style magician, that is one of those magicians who all the other magicians hate because he sells out and reveals their tricks to national audiences

i dont care why are you so fucking hate tyas...
well i am not a big fan of him in individual, only his tunes...

Very very few producers are versatile enough with their productions to be able to pull off an entire mix containing only them.

Tyas is most definitely NOT one of them, heard the first track, heard the rest of mix.

Your mixing is superb and not one error but the track selection does not help your set for reasons which have already been mentioned. I think Krooton said it best:

In other words if you heard one Tyas tune you heard them all.

I did enjoy one particular track and that was the Bobina one. But having heard the prior remixes before, this Tyas remix sounded just like the Dub version sped up with a stronger beat and synth. The Airwave track sounded like the Rank 1 vs Dutch Force Mix with slight variations.

Some final words of advice for any tribute mix you make in the future would be to use tunes which represent a more diverse discography. In that way monotony is diminished and you have a more enjoyable sounding set.
