I say go with the DJ playing that comes to NYC the least. I think that is more of a treat.

Lawler is nasty but has been around, and will be around again.

Cosmic Gate are equally great in their own trancey way. probably won't be back in awhile, great option. WH though, why!!!!

Askew has never been to NYC, probably won't be back in awhile either. plus a lot of great locals playing on that night. Gotta be in the mood for a big room party though obviously. Thats where i'll be

Freeland @ Cielo is going to be a crazy night. I'd be worried about how packed Cielo is going to get on a Friday though. But musically, nastiness.

Excellent advice, thanks zack. Everybody rags on Webster but I've only been there once for Faithless and it was lovely, so i don't have any angst there. Askew not having been to NYC is a huge pull, plus i do love Crobar, in the way I love my hometown grocery store, all big and tacky but familiar. Will have to think about it again later this month, results remain to be seen...

I'm gonna make it easier for you all..Askew will not be in NYC June 29th..Studio have discontinued their Friday nights..I spoke to Mike Brand/massivenyc on the phone last night and he told me the bad news...

I was looking forward to this but when you look at the competition in NYC on that date you can understand that Studio had cause for concern..

Mike however will be bringing Askew over but possibly at another venue in the near future...

Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn Michael,,but I'm feeling important right now...The Prophet...

I can't deal with this. I need a smoke and then I will decide! ugh

He has not updated his myspace much. If you had been checking TA and his page regularly you would have known the the venue was supposed to originally be @ T NY then was moved to Studio...he never updated his page since then....and now Studio is cancelled so it is not happening and I dont care what the outdated information on his myspace page says

Was gonna go to Askew but it looks like I am not going out at all

May be someone should msg him to change that so people don't get theyre hopes up and end up misinformed and disappointed.

Well said! I invited as many people as I could out for Freeland @ Cielo, but it looks like I'll be goin' solo that night. Wish I could hit up at least 2 of that night's events but I'm pretty sure that once Freeland starts spinnin' I'll want to stay for the duration of his set.
