TIESTO - Elements Of Life Gelredome, Arnhem (June 2 2007)
*EDIT*
I wrote a full report
What a MAGIKAL Night last Saturday @ Gelredome soccer stadium in my city Arnhem.
Tiesto's Elements of Life World tour finally came to Holland, his native land!!!
And he didn't disappoint us at all.
For me and Maryliz it was not just a concert of Tiesto, but THE CONCERT for us.
Our "Tiesto In Concert Anniversary Oct 29 2004 - Jun 2 2007" concert became very special, Tiesto gave us the most Magikal gift performing so unbelievable.
He was really in his Element(s of Life), interacting with the crowd, his mixing skills were MAGIK, dancing a lot in the booth, big smile on his face.
Didn't see this for a while how he was behind the booth.
The Tiesto we all know!!!
The day started first with a Tiesto.com forum meeting at our favorite restaurant in Arnhem, called Robin Hood, organized by me!!!
Almost 20 people appeared and we had a lot of fun, great food. The best way to start.
After dinner we went to another meeting, also organized by me, to a bar around the corner, have a little drink and get together.
But than it was time to go to the stadium!!!
When we arrived, outside the stadium it was packed. As far as I understood, 24.000 people were at the concert.
There were 2 entrances, one for showing your entrance ticket and the other one for the check by security people if you didn't have drugs and stuff.
In the stadium the group got split up, one part was already downstairs on the field before we even noticed hehehe, they couldn't wait anymore.
Buying coins to get drinks and food, taking group pictures and going into the stadium.
At 23:00 hours the preshow started with an amazing live performance by Jes, from New York, she was singing a lot of songs from her new album Disconnect.
She's singing Live so good, an amazing voice, very good warming up for the actual show by Tiesto.
At 23:30 hours, 30 minutes earlier (the planned 3D show was skipped out of the program) the Elements Of Life show started.
With a great intro about the 4 Elements Of Life: Earth, Water, Fire, Air following by the most wonderful opening track from his album: Ten Seconds Before Sunrise.
And from there on, the show was divided in 4 parts, the Elements of Life parts. Every part was unique, every part had the tracks that fit in the subject.
This is almost the complete track listing of the concert: http://forum.tiestotracklists.net/viewtopic.php?t=1253
Besides Jes there were other live performances, except one. Will tell later on in this report. All the other live performers were amazing, never heard good live singers at a dance event for a while, was really impressed. Vocals were unbelievable.
Julie Thompson singing the tracks: Do You Feel Me (from EOL Album) and Somewhere Inside
Jes singing the track: Everything (from EOL Album)
Christian Burns singing the track: In The Dark (from EOL Album)
And than there was BT (Brian Transeau), what a disaster for the concert. His name is big in the dance scene, a great producer, great singer (we all thought),
but the last thing was not the case at all.
He was not singing live at all, he supposed to sing the tracks Break My Fall (from EOL Album) and Love Comes Again (from Just Be Album), comparing with
the other live performers, because they were really singing (you could hear that very clear), this guy forgot sometimes to move his mouth and sometimes
he tried to sing live, but he only was singing some words.
He disappointed me the most of the whole concert. I heard the stories about him at the concert in Belgium and thought: maybe there was something with his
voice, why he couldn't perform live. But I was totally wrong.
Maryliz asked me if I knew where the place in the stadium was where we kissed each other for the first time at the Tiesto In Concert II in 2004.
We walked to the place, sat down and watching an amazing show from all the way in the back of the stadium.
Watching the amazing laser and light show and the great graphics on the big video wall behind Tiesto.
This wall was 65 metres (22 feet) wide and 12 metres (4 feet) high!!!!
You will see in my videos how amazing this all was to see.
With this concert they really didn't care about money I think. Everything you could think of to use for a show, they used it.
Lasers, lights, amazing speakers with a the most perfect sound system, real fountains on both sides of the booth to use it in the part called: Water,
you will see that in one of my videos, fireworks, etc.
Everything for the perfect show!!!
We moved a lot in the stadium, standing on the left side of the stage, in the middle in front of the booth, all the way in the back.
And almost everywhere where we were standing, I introduced Maryliz to my party friends and I think she was impressed about the fact that I know so many people.
They all loved her and she was having a wonderful time with them.
One of my friends recorded us, while we were jumping on Ferry Corsten's track Beautiful.
Thank you Peter for the great video!!!

To continue, personally I think part 4 was the best part. Why? Because he was playing most of my favorite classic tracks.
Classic tracks like Rank 1 - Breathing (Airwave), M.I.K.E. - Sunrise @ Palamos, Jens - Loops & Things Relooped, Ayla - Ayla, The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up
and many more (see link for the complete track list)
And at 6:35 hours the concert ended
Tiesto was playing one more track and than he walked away from the booth and came to the front to shake every body's hands to thank them.
It was his last concert in the Gelredome. In an interview he told that 4 times Gelredome was enough and it was time for something else. When the interviewer asked: "Next time Amsterdam Arena?" He answered: "It's possible!"
I bought some really nice Elements Of Life shirts for Maryliz and myself, to remember our Magikal Anniversary night.
Thank you to all Tiesto.com forum members for coming to the 2 meetings I organized and the great night we had.
And thank you to all Party Flock (www.partyflock.nl) friends for the great night.
Maryliz and I will remember this concert for a long time.
And now it's time to show the pictures and videos.

Hey, Ouwe Dwaas,
Nice to have met you, MaryLiz and the others at Bar Plaza earlier in the evening. I left the gig at 6am because I couldn't put up with what seemed - to me - an excessive level of bass being used in some of the gig's later tracks.
Great to have seen you though. Regards to you and M-L.
Dave
