Creative Zen Vision M, best player out there.

For music, I have always bought Creative MP3 players because of their specialty in PC sound cards. They do use a miniature version of their Audigy cards in most of the main Zen line. Basically, this is one of the better sounding players on the market.
For video, they have fantastic codec support. They can handle Xvid, which is what most of my downloaded shows are in. Also, it has almost double the battery life of the ipod for video, four hours.
I have always been a fan of the Creative menu system, as I think its probably the most simple, yet functional. The menus are customizable, not only with themes, and colours, but also with actual content, and order.
The center touch selector is also a great feature. I prefer it to the iPod click wheel, when combined with all the other buttons on the player.
Other features which I actually use, that are included standards on the player are: built in mic, radio, calendar, tasks, contacts, revmobale drive support, and TV out.
The single worst part of this player is the dumb connector dongle that you must use to charge, sync, and for TV out. I wish they would just included the connectors on the player and just made it a bit bigger.
In a straight comparison, the Zen has WAY more features than the iPod. Its just a bit thicker, so that turns people off.
Its up to you, features versus physical size. The price is almost always the same.
