It's not about gameplay anymore - it's about how pretty things look, and how much a developer can "wow" you into buying their product even if it plays like utter shit.

Not saying that will happen with MGS4, but it's not as if this is the first trailer for a big game that had little to no gameplay footage.

Man, this forum is FULL of whiners. With all the unknowns about this game, it will still sell in hoardes, and even with the flawed aspects of any of the games in the series, each and every single one has had fantastic gameplay.

who is whining? we all said it was impressive, but even 14min of cutscene in a 10+ hour game doesnt show much. MGS would sell without this trailer, its just that the gameplay - at least in the past - wasnt extremely action oriented, like this trailer depicts|

yea this is the first trailer where i've seen those robots climbing up walls and flexing their 'legs'

it's cool to see familiar objects like the box, and snake's camouflage suit. and the last scene with the ninja guy (forgot his name) taking down 10+ robots without even sweating

looks hot
