Trance Producer for hire
Greetings TA's,
I've been making trance music for longer than you have, but I'm still not very good at it! So I am looking to "hire" a trance producer to help me with mixing, programming drums and making solid basslines. This position requires working knowledge of The Thrillseekers, Ferry Corsten, Chicane, and optionally Gabriel & Dresden. Applicants must possess a degree in Sidechain Compression from the U of Prydz and/or The Benassi Pumphonia Institute. The ideal candidate is pursuing a masters at BT's Nu School of Breakbeats.
Responsibilities include making basslines, putting effects on my synths, and making my drums not suck, usually by replacing them with your own. Sometimes I'll just want you to help me make whatever I'm working on sound like Carte Blanche. It would be helpful (but not necessary) if you use some of the same gear as me (list below)
This would be kinda like a collaboration except I will pay you "whatever you're worth" until "my money runs out" or "you stop sending me cool shit" (terms are entirely flexible/in advance/paypal) If you're interested PM me on TA with the following and I will let you know right away
- your sequencer
- matching gear list (see below)
- URL to your website
Gear List
Sonar 6
JP8080 (Presets Vengeance Xplorations 1+2, Xplorations 3)

CamelSpace 1.4

AutoTune 4
Antares Filter
*ReFX Nexus (Expansions: Vengeance)
*Waves Diamond Bundle 4

Nice...
Some people don't realise many (big) names/producers have their sound designers and helping hands for a few $$$.
It's very common actually. Don't know why people are laughing about that.

lmao learn yourself you dont need anybody to teach you how do you think people get better lolz .
So what exactly do you bring to the table?
I'm just curious why a good producer would choose to take chump change for their hard work from somebody they've never met or heard of as opposed to finding a label to work with.
Also, in the "sorta like a collaboration" paragraph, I think you left out the no credit or royalties part.
You say you won't post your budget because you want to leave room to negotiate, but you'd have to be offering something pretty generous for anyone to take the offer seriously. Sentences like "whatever you're worth" and "until my money runs out" hardly inspire much trust or confidence in that area. I can just imagine asking about compensation during or after a job interview and getting that response. I think my reply would be, "Hmm, well it looks like my time has just run out, but that's okay, because you've received as much of it as you're worth anyway."
Ppl, this dude is fucking with you all. I saw this few minutes after he posted it, and did not even want to be a smart ass and reply.
PM I work with people here in NYC. I use logic/ableton
