Wedding DJ

Yes, I said it.

A friend of a friend is getting married in Hilton Head in October. Her tastes are house/trance, and she wants a DJ to play that at her wedding. She would also need them to be willing to play a little pop and other stuff so the old folks wouldn't feel completely alienated.

I'm going to talk to her tomorrow about details, but she would fly the DJ down, and pay for the gig. Again, not sure how much at this point.

If anyone's interested, or knows someone who's interested, PM me.

Let me please note that I realize the very notion of this (playing a wedding, subverting your true musical taste for the masses, etc.) makes some of you want to vomit, or more likely go into a murderous rage. Totally understandable. Just doing a favor for a nice girl.

Frank Rempe plays weddings on the side and he's a really good wedding DJ from what I hear.
A lot of DJs do private events, just another acceptable way to make ends meet.

ive played at my close friend's wedding for free.

played everything from disco to hip hop to the less annoying modern pop ie. madonna - hung up etc.

actually wedding selections are fun as hell cuz its all about feel good stuff.
