Behringer's djx700
Behringer's djx700 crap mixer or wat cuz it is only for 180 $
i planning to go forword to it
I realize you probably don't post here all that much - so I'll just say this: Either use the search and look for "Behringer" in the titles of threads in the DJ Booth forum over the last couple of years, read those, and then decide.
Or, if you don't feel like taking the time to do that - just don't buy it and save yourself the headache. Save an extra hundred or two and get yourself a decent entry level mixer instead of settling for this piece of shit.
Go for a Vestax - VMC 004!

The Behringer is crap. I started mixing with the DJX-700 and it was a great starter mixer. My biggest complaints are:
-The faders are not adjusted to account for a logarithmic scale. i.e., when you fade in from 0-7, the output does not increase much. All the volume is in the 7-10 range.
-The effects are crap.
So, i guess it depends on what you want to use it for. For bedroom DJing, i think it's fine. For professional applications, definitely not.

Funktion 1 ( for those who can afford it)
Allen & Heath
Urei
Ecler
Pioneer
Vestax

| Originally posted by RJT +1000, UWSP just got burned BAD with some Behringer equipment... about $5000 in large mixing boards, monitors etc. All pretty much ended up being garbage and worthless... Another DJ in town here uses the VMX300 and is essentially relegated to fader mixing because the EQ's are so non-responsive... Buying Behringer equipment is like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun... it's not going to end well... |

i think vmx300 is better than djx700?
if you say so? all of behringers dj are majorly sub par. the only way the vmx300 could be seen as better, is because your wasting less money on something you'll replace a few months down the line.
my exp using it
I own the thing, and for practicing dummy sets its OK at best. However i regularly use a djm-600 that my buddy owns and it doesn't even compare in terms of quality, and the 600 isnt even great at that... Also you pointed out the effects, trust me - you do NOT want to even TRY and use those. It would be better to get a better 2 channel mixer. If i could go back i would (and I will soon).
