I like tyhe song, but its not very techno-y or trancey

Posted by DJ Laz on Jun-10-2007 07:10:

hmmm... im thinking you have an exact definition for trance huh? but it seems to sway to the electronica side to me.

This is where you can talk about Trance, or any electronic music.

It's electronic music. And good music, at that.

One of Timbaland's shittest tracks imo, hate it

Posted by SMC on Jun-10-2007 11:15:

It's nice. I like Keri Hilson, she has a nice voice.

Posted by tyos on Jun-10-2007 12:06:

it's really bad. One of the worst tracks on his album.

Posted by Fresh Prince on Jun-10-2007 12:57:

I think it's shit..

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-10-2007 14:54:

some of you guys are pretty narrow minded. maybe need to branch out a little more...

Posted by RTP on Jun-10-2007 23:39:

Yeaaa!
Finally SOMEBODY GETS IT!

Not the fistf*ckin' "Give It To Me" is the best song on the album, no, it's "THE WAY I ARE"!

DAMN IT!

Thank you, you just gave me my belief in humanity back.
Well, not quite.
But still, the song is the best on the album. I agree 100% and second this statement 1337 times.

LOOOOLLLLL at this guy up there

I just can't get past the bad grammar

Sure, me and my friends like to occasionally switch the eq mode on my car's stereo to "Super-Bass" and blast some Young Jeezy, Hot Boys and Three 6 Mafia just for laughs. But in reality this music is, of course, shit and does not deserve 1/50 of the attention that it gets. It sucks to hear that people on this forum actually care enough about this music to listen to those people's full albums.

yeah. I was at a party last night, and the DJ was playing hip hop and everyone was dancing. I dont really like it, and I know the DJ and whatnot so I request some joop - the future and pulser - point of impact. Everyone but like 10 people leave the floor, and when the two songs are over literally they all come back and some even clapped caues it was over. FUCK i can't wait till i go to Europe in 3 weeks and people really like trance and techno. Anyways yeah I hate this music and think it is shit as well.

I think it was said before in this thread but i'll say it again:

You people are narrowminded.

Anyway, yeah i like this song.

Dude, the lyrics are horrible and so is the instrumental production of this song. Anyone who can tell an ass from a whole in the ground will agree with me. This production has the word "cheap" and "made to sell" written all over it. Yeah sorry for being narrowminded and refusing to listen to some shit that the media tries to feed me and make me buy.

The true narrowmindedness comes from people who actually seriously listen to this shit and ignore me when I recommend them something like, let's say, Boards Of Canada, because none of their friends listen to them, nor do they ever get any radio play.

Respect to Timbaland, again a pretty nice song

Posted by biznology on Jun-12-2007 08:21:

the thing about this is that it is impressive, not that youtube vid, its shit. but that timbo has managed to collect everything about edm trance that people fell for in 97-02 and re-package it into rnb hip hop.

thats interesting, but usually rnb (in the 60s-80s) and hip hop (in the 80s-00s) led trends, but now its looking forward (towards edm), or backwards depending on how you look at it.

Sander K makes two stonkin remixes of Madonna and Justin Timberlake, both of which arent officially released around 2003 (likely as they are better than the originals).

But suddenly Madge is totally edm and JTs latest album apes Sander Kleinenberg for the first few tracks.

its nice to hear on the radio, not a good sign for originality, makes sampling look heroic|

seriously.. what were you even expecting

back to the thread: I really hate the bad grammar in song titles. When these famous rappers get invited to talkshows and they start to speak their lingo I get really frustrated. Someone should give them grammar lessons or something
Oh well its probably too late to stop the train anyway. All languages are evolving constantly, but this time Im afraid the evolution is running backwards

Posted by Frenchie on Jun-12-2007 19:02:

I bop to it.

Well to be honest with you, what do you expect? You can't just play 2 trance tunes in the middle of a hip-hop set. If the people know there's going to be hip-hop playing and go to the party to dance to hip-hop, it's their choice.

Just go to a place where they play trance. It's not up to you to decide which music would be 'proper' to dance to.

I'm not narrow-minded - I just think this type of music is shit.

Don't worry - the "you're narrow-minded" 'argument' is just the new "you're not allowed to talk unless you've made something better" or "oh yeah? well it really goes off in a club!". You know, the last resort.
