Avalong Boston closing????

I'm sure there are threads about this already but is this really true? Someone told me that they were just renovatiing it and turning it into a "concert venue" and essentially eliminating the nightclub aspect of Avalon, Axis, Embassy and Modern. Closing the one and only major edm club in Boston would essentially eliminate the chances of getting big name DJs to come through the city. Somehow I don't think PVD, Sasha, Diggers, Ferry, Armin, Sander, etc would have any interest in playing at Rise or Roxy. Has business been that bad at Avalon/Axis/Embassy/Modern?
