humate - love simulation (paul van dyk's love mix)

just thought i make another thread on how beautiful this track is

Posted by spc on Jun-13-2007 04:31:

my most favorite pvd production ever, definitely a classic. usually i don't say this type of sappy crap, but you definitely feel some sort of emotion when the piano is going nuts in this song

Posted by bobba lou on Jun-13-2007 04:58:

loved it. good tune indeed

Posted by RebeL9 on Jun-13-2007 05:56:

yeah its great but it's not as good as Kaycee - Love Stimulation (Humate 98 remix). That version is L O V E L Y!

Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (Humate Remix)

Breakdown goes for literally about two minutes. Pretty much the only song that manages to do that without sounding contrived and stupid.

Yes, one of my alltime favourite. The 93 version of PvD of course, not the 98 version also by PvD (who is a simple copy with a different beat)

Posted by GrimReaper on Jun-13-2007 10:15:

One of my alltime favs too, but for me it's rather a tie between the Humate remix of Kay Cee's remake and the '93 love mix. Both are just full of love and melancholy. I'd say over the past 10 years or so, for the most part anyway, PvD hasn't found the same emotion in his productions and remixes he got into the love mix and some of his other early-mid 90s works.

PvD got pissed off for Kay Cee's version being a carbon copy of his '93 love mix so PvD decided to rework love mix into love club mix by changing the beat, adding some new fx and extending intro and outro.

Incredible track. Probably my favourite that came from MFS

if you like this, check out Stephen Parker - Phases Pad

Very similar tune from the late Marino Stephano.

one of my top 10 productions of all time

Posted by trancedanne on Jun-13-2007 12:39:

best version is Kaycee - Love Stimulation imo

omg I love this song. I dont think it is in my top 5 PVD or 20 songs ever, but still its amazing.

Posted by pvdAngel on Jun-13-2007 16:16:

It's a great song although I've not heard the 93 version. Shame on me!

Minhaj: OMG your sig, I've not seen that for years!

Posted by shades_of_gray on Jun-13-2007 16:23:

Yes it is a fantastic track. Dont get me wrong.

But nowadays i dont get that buzz out of hearing it or playing it like i used to years ago.

well he did this song after he had broken up with his g/f and i think we can all agree that emotion is felt in this song. now-a-days he's married (and hopefully happily) so that's probably why his work since then hasn't had the "same" emotion...

ch00nage!

Absolute tearjerker. Still gives me a tingle when the beat drops out and that beautiful piano comes to the fore - you can't overstate the beauty of it

If you go that way, then there's Y Traxx - Mystery Land which has pretty much the same basis up to the beat than Odyssey To Anyoona, but a different melody. Fred Baker probably liked Jam & Spoon, huh?

AMAZING track

This thread has made me want to dig out my copy of Gatecrasher Red

I always hated that piano. Sounds so corny. Lieb's soft mix is better.

I don't notice so much due to the different melody but i do notice it in odyssey to anyoona like isoterra does

Love Stimulation is a big classic such has Age Of Love, First Rebirth, Cafe Del Mar etc...I'm never tired of these titles, they procure great sensation for me, always 14 years later.
