I really don't understand why he would play it that early in a set

Then again, he is the one who opened with Aftermath a few years back.

*remembers when Steve Angello was a user on TA and said "For the record, Aftermath should never be played with trance."

Nothing special.

Posted by Clovis on Jun-17-2007 18:15:

That sounded extremely boring.

Posted by RJT on Jun-17-2007 18:42:

I said it in the other thread, and I'll say it in this one too - couldn't possibly be more generic. Should have been titled "Watch the Sunrise 2007 (Shit Version)."

Posted by Porky on Jun-17-2007 18:45:

rough.

2/10

Why is that? Is it because Angello and Ingrosso are making "deeper" or of higher quality underground music? Aftermath was a simple nice melodic record and could go well side by side with a slower melodic trance track.I can't see why it couldn't fit in a trance set, or a proggier trance set (the kind of Schultzian Xylophone trance).

You've clearly never heard Armin play it as one of the first three tracks in a set.

And for the record, I don't think anyone here would ever claim that Angello and Ingrosso are making "high quality, underground" music.

I don't know what kind of sets you're used to,
but if you knew the structure of his it's really usual.
He also opened with it in Barcelona 2 weeks ago, here's the vid.

From what I read on forums after aussie crowd isn't much
EDM oriented.
