I didnt think its tasted that bad. We had a bottle from my friend who plays in czech a lot, and he put sugar on it and lit it on fire.

I didnt have any hallucinations. but some people were delusional!!

its pretty bitter/licorice by itself, hence you need the accessories: a spoon, sugar cube, cold water.

most absinthe sold doesnt contain enough thujon to produce hallucinations in everyone, but some people may be particularly sensitive to it.

it does have a high alcohol content though, so its pretty much guaranteed to fuck you up one way or another :P

yeah some imported stuff once in college that didnt have much wormwood in it. originally you would drop some laudanum in the shot which would react with the wormwood and cause hallucinations i think. but laudanum's basically a poison. these days the stuff is usually just strong liquor

we didnt put ours in a spoon, but the heat and the sugar definately made ti go down quite smooth (as compared to the original flavor )!!

i think im gonna give this a miss...I can drink beer all day long,,but as soon as I touch a shot,,it's game over..

i'd put sugar on it and set myself alight...

I noticed IMMEDIATELY that its not something you wanted to take more than one shot of... EVER. The first was fine, but people were droppin like flies after the second.....it was a mess of slurrs, stumbles, angry drunks, sickness, etc. (mind you we were slowly drinking other drinks).
Not sure about the american version tho.

I had absynth once, but i washed it down with jagermeister. Tastes like shit and I didn't hallucinate.. but i was quite inebriated.
