SUBWAY SERIES - discuss

Subway Series - This weekend

Yankees v Mets: who's gonna be the ULTIMATE champion?

Since we seem to have started talking about the Subway Series in EVERY thread I thought we could have one centralized place to talk smack.

PLAY NICE KIDS!!!

I see the series ending 2-1 Yankees....

Thank you JESUS!!!

lol I think the Yanks are in a good mode right now and they have their fans behind them. I may be biased, but I think its gonna be 2-1 Yankees for the series.

really???? The mets are reeling. They just lost 9 of the last 10, and the yanks are about to win 9 in a row. Unfortunately for everyone here, the game we have the best chance of losing is saturday, when clippard is scheduled to start. I still don't see us losing though because no one on the mets is hitting, except Wright. If anyone watched the mets game last night they simply looked pathetic (they currently look worse than the yankees did in their streak). Reyes didn't even run out a play last night. You know that shit is going bad when Reyes doesn't hustle.

Mets fan here, saying the Mets step up and steal 1 out of the 3 games, making the season series 3-3.

I was gonna write "Just take out a rib and go"....but didnt wanna go there.

Wonder if anyone thinks there will be a sweep either way?

Posted by phuzzyfish12 on Jun-14-2007 19:17:

A sweep would be great but I feel like usually either way each team pulls out one win due to the nature of the series.

James/Jerz: Stats please

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Jun-14-2007 19:18:

we will win at least 2 of 3. i HOPE we win Saturday (go Clippard!! the kid's got heart, the team will be AT home, WE WILL CHEER YOU ON!!!)

altho the METS have been losing, i sure hope these games will be a fight to the finish (it is always more exciting to watch). And Reyes, not producing?? cmon METS, coming into the Bronx will give u the boost that your team badly NEEDS. the atmosphere will be
ELECTRIC!!! ehehe ^__^

im going to the Sunday game as well, so i hope we WIN that one.

LOL, doesn't it feel good when you take things lightly.

anyways, the best indicator of why the mets aren't going to take a single game is that the offense isn't doing anything. no stats needed here. Also, each pitcher they are bringing to the mount in this series is coming off a very bad start, especially glavine.

Yanks: 8 straight wins...
Mets: 5 straight losses...

GOin with just momentum as a factor...its a no-brainer

That's just the d-bol kicking in...keep it up, sucka

It's part of being a long-term mets fan. You set your sights low.

my only contribution

go yanks

Posted by trunks1022 on Jun-14-2007 21:28:

i think the series will wake up the mets. still first place after going 2-9 or whatever this month? i think 1 of 3 is realistic, but it might come at the expense of clemens. mets have always been pretty good at shelling him.
