Any Ecler Nuo4 owners?
I just bought one of these bad boys. (In the mail, hasn't arrived yet.) I have a DJM-600 right now and I'm wordering if it will fit in the same Road Ready flight case. The are the same width, but the thing that concerns me is the knobs that are on the front of the mixer. Anyone have any experience traveling with one of these?
Here's a pic with the knobs on the front that I am talking about :

Hey!
I have a NUO4 and a Road Ready case too (RR12MIX). My NUO5 fits it perfectly, but yeah, the knobs on the NUO4 dont help.
BUT, it will fit in the case BACKWARDS. Put the back of the mixer to the front of the case, and the knob-end towards the back. You can transport it fine this way, but you'll have to take it out to use it.
ORRR...if you buy some foam, you can try to make a spacer about 1" at the front of the case, to make some space for the knobs.
Enjoy it! You'll love it!

No prob!
Hey Chris...I thought I recognized your name...this is Jon from ECLER USA/Soundwerks Audio. Give me a ring one day if you put any more thought into my proposal.
I almost jumped recently on a slightly used Nuo 4 on eBay that ended up going for 460.00 That's a steal!

Uh oh. I'm (idly) looking to buy cases for my gear (Nuo4 and 2x CDJ-800).
Hopefully the fitting issue won't be a deal breaker. I thought RR cases come with tons of foam spacers so you can make stuff fit properly? I don't think it would be too much of an issue...
Please post a follow-up after you get your case. If you can include pictures, it would be great too. I'm curious as to how snugly it fits and all.
The width fits perfectly...its just the length of the mixer. Because of the knobs on the front, you'd have to make some sort of spacer at the front of the case. Or, just put it backwards. Otherwise, the RR12MIX fit the NUO4/NUO5 perfectly (especially the NUO5)
Soundwerks, I know you're the NA Ecler distributor. Do you happen to have any pictures of such a setup? I've never seen a RR12MIX case; does it have space for cables and stuff at the back? I've always wondered about that.
I dont have pics right now...but I can try to take some when I get back in the office on monday.
Or just look up google pics of RR12MIX, you might find something. The Road Ready site has nice PDF's of every one of their products, with complete diagrams and measurements
Google Search found this thread as the top result for 'rr12mix nuo4'. =D

Okay, just kind of curious. Which headphone plug do you all use?
I currently have mine plugged into the one on the front, with a spare adapter plugged in the top to keep out the dust and stuff.
Also, how warm does your mixer get? When I have my mixer on for a while, the sides (near the top) gets warm.
So, got my Nuo4 last night and devised a pretty good solution for fitting it into the Road Ready RR12MIX case.
The Road Ready case is made for the DJM-600, which does not have a flat rear panel. (You can see what I mean here: http://www.djstore.co.uk/images/pro.../piodjm600s.jpg ) So, Road Ready puts some foam pads in the back of the case that go where this indentation is in the DJM. Since the Ecler Nuo4 has a flat back panel, these pads need to be removed. However, if you take those pads, flip them sideways, and place them in the front of the case, they are just thick enough to keep the knobs on the front of the Nuo4 from touching the case.
I'd post a pic but my camera is on the fritz. If you need a more detailed explanation, PM me and i'll be glad to clarify anything.
Stay tuned for a new thread. I have some questions about midi-mapping this bad boy with ableton.
